That's my thinking based on everything I've seen.
Going back to the first Avengers film, Loki had made a deal with someone who turned out to be Thanos. Thanos gave him the staff that contained the Mind Stone and the deal was that he would "get the Earth" in exchange for getting the Tesseract (Space Stone).
Loki not only failed to deliver, but he lost the Mind Stone given to him in the process. I'd say that puts him squarely in Thanos' doghouse.
As seen in Thor: Ragnarok , Loki took the Tesseract from Orin's vault when he lit Surtur's crown with the flame. And during that end credits scene, Thanos's giant ship came upon Thor, Loki and the Asgardians. I believe looking for the Tesseract in Loki's possession.
I don't think Thanos is looking for Loki as an ally at this point, he's just an unstoppable force out to get what he wants at any cost.
I agree with you that Loki can never be trusted, but I disagree that he goes back to being a one-note, pure "bad guy", I think it would be a step back for both the character and Tom Hiddleston.
Just my opinion.

Liked the characters. Like the actors playing the characters. Did not like how the overall movie flowed. So
- Pretty good action.
- Too many partial origins packed into one movie.
- Every joke not hitting (similar to Thor: Ragnarok)
- Serious overediting/some scenes or acts not fleshed out completely in the beginning of the movie (partially due to the abbreviated origins)
- Trying too hard to not 'traumatize' the audience with drama

Daddys Home 2 - 7/10
It was just a fun Christmas movie to see. There was nothing special about it really but a few laughs. It had some Christmas Vacation moments to it. It is worth going to see with the family if you are in the holiday spirit already.

Small budget monster movie where an alcoholic divorced mother is taking her 10 year-old daughter to see her father, by way of a back road on a dark & stormy night.

This weekend is the 4th annual Romanian film festival in Seattle. Saw 3 so far this weekend and seeing another today before the Cowboys game. Romanian movies are hit and miss. Some of them are absolutely horrible (not as bad as Indian movies though). Some of them are okay. This weekend has been surprisingly good.
Two Lottery Tickets (2016). 8/10. Pretty hilarious. Better than most Hollywood comedies I've seen. I believe it's the highest-grossing Romanian film of all time. Based on a classic short story from the 1800s.
The Rest Is Silence (2007). 8/10. An oldie but goodie. Very well done. A movie about the making of a movie. True story.
Breaking News (2017). 5/10. Wished I liked it more. The director seemed very nice and humble (and she was young and hot). But just couldn't get into it so much. Acting was excellent but story was a bit slow and boring (typical of Romanian movies).
Seeing a documentary about Manele (gypsy music) today.
Also saw Jon Gruden. He wasn't at the film festival but he was leaving some sports bar after I left the festival. Didn't talk to him. He was literally walking right next to me with one dude on the street with no one else around. I think it's kinda lame for grown men to turn into little girls at the sight of a celebrity. And I hate when random people talk to me so I try not to return the favor. Didn't have anything to say to him anyway.

I thought movies featuring Kal-El would grow upon the Man of Steel foundation. They have steadily regressed in my opinion. Warner Bros/DC's premier superhero team adaptation Justice League is definitely not comparative to The Avengers.

Seeing this in an hour. I finally saw the extended BvS the other night and thought is flowed much better than the theatrical version. I still thought much of the movie was still unneccessary to the main narrative, but it felt closer to a Superman movie than a Batman movie this time.
I read that JL had a studio mandated runtime of under 2 hours which struck me as an odd constraint with a movie introducing so many new characters to the world.

Such a cool movie. I've seen a couple movies with car chase scenes since watching this one and they all look like lazy Sunday driving now. Brilliant editing and very clever directing. In the span of a couple of days, I watched it, then watched it again, then watched it again with commentary, then watched a bunch of youtube videos breaking down the movie. I really enjoy almost all Edgar Wright movies but this was the first one where it didn't feel like a bunch of pals screwing around.
Super soundtrack too.

Network is excellent. It would have won the Academy’s Best Picture award if not for Rocky.

I agree. Can’t go crazy with fandom if you see them.
If I do anything I will put my hand out, say something like “big fan” or “hey man” acknowledging them. Did that with one of the Run DMC boys when coming off of a plane. Did it with Emmitt, Irvin and Deion.

I’m writing this review as I’m supposed to be watching the movie. I don’t know the lead male actor’s name but he was horrible. Had this lame throaty voice the entire time. Overall, poorly scripted and written. Was a bit like the 5th Element but less entertaining and likable.
