I would think we would finally be seeing some benefits of going cheap in FA for the last 5 years and Romo retiring. Anyone have the goods on that?

Over the CAP shows about 26 million for 2018 with current contracts in place and no changes.

I do not know if they applied any back money from the Zek suspension.

Romo is still on the books for about 9 million next year.

LOL..........Jerry the GM. Looks like another year of restructuring just to get under the cap? Sad.

That means another year of certain posters claiming the cap is a myth and we could sign anyone we wanted. LOL

No - Cowboys are 26 million under for 2018.
They could restructure Dez and make a few cuts to get everyone in for 2018.
But you need to clear at least 20 million for Dak in the coming years.

Seems like that’s a lot more room than previous years and doesn’t take into account that the cap is rising another 7-10 million

Yes. Stephen Jones has done a good job there. No Jerry going off and signing a big name FA to cut that number.

Interesting thing is the Giants, when things were going good in the drafting department, always tried to resign their own first.

He said 26m UNDER the cap and it is closer to 30m with rollover

Then there are contracts that will get restructured - TSmith, TFred, Lee and re-done- Dez, Witten, ZMartin and some cuts- Hanna, Mayowa, OScan

All in DAL has 60m of cap space to work with
DLaw-15m
Hitchens-4m
Irving- 4m
Cooper-3m
FA DT- 8-10m

It was pretty clear from the title of my thread that I didnt know what the cap situation was. One guys says we have no money and one guy says we have lots. So which is it? Do you know and if so, then please do tell. Otherwise you are not much help in the conversation.
"over the cap" is the name of the site. It shows we are 26 million under for 2018.
