He deserves next season.
Yes sir - as I stated in another thread Parcells always said you know about a QB in three years.
He deserves next season.
When it takes you having the best to be good maybe you aren't that good. Why do the great qb's never seem to have this problem? The make it happen with decent WR and these wideouts are at least all decent. Maybe Dak isn't that good simple as that. I'm not being a hater either just look at the top qb's and look at their WR cores over their careers how many of them have had a top WR for their bulk of their career recently? Even with Wentz them guys are okay but I don't think most think of any of their WR as top 10 to 15. I could be wrong on that but they overall just seem good not great.I want to see Dak with some new receivers and a Playmaking TE before I get rid of him. I just think it takes too long for these guys to get open and that makes Dak hold onto the ball. Dak's best receiver was Brice Butler this year by far. Seemed like they had a connection early and then Brice had the foot injury and it just kinda faded away.
Carson Wentz looked a lot better when he got better playmakers around him. it's time for the Cowboys to bring in some new energy at the skills position.

Dak is the early edition of Alex Smith. He's not going to make mistakes. Efficient. Good numbers. Not likely to make many highlight reels.
I agree. I don’t remember Smith throwing a bunch of pick sixes.Alex Smith is an infinitely better passer. Much better field vision too.
U still are hurt over a post from a few weeks ago. Seek helpWell you also wrote us off for the Oakland game so good thing you aren’t managing a damn thing
Coop!Top rated QB right next to him...Who the hell might that be?
I'd give him next season WITH hopefully a much improved WR group. If he hasn't returned to form, then it's time to move on, and the search continues.
Funnynthing is most people wouldn't want Alex Smith but want Dak with no questions asked. You see how good ole Alex is getting treated in KC??? Maybe Dak needs that same treatment. Dak was critiquing Romo like a fan which he was and now folks doing the same to him.Dak is the early edition of Alex Smith. He's not going to make mistakes. Efficient. Good numbers. People just looking to blame the coaching staff and Jerry for everything. They deserve blame no doubt but not for Dak not being accurate and risk adverse to the point of messing up the team. I'm mean our WR core isn't the greatest but if we need an O line like rebuild at WR for this guy to be good long term I'm sorry he isn't a good QB period. He is then Andy Dalton status on a more popular team. What does the receiving corp have to do with him not throwing accurate passes or properly reading defenses? His problem is inaccuracy due to poor mechanics as well as not reading defenses.
The moment yesterday when Aikman even pointed out that Dak looked directly at the blitz and still didn’t prepare for it should’ve opened a lot of people’s eyes...and he said “I’m not really sure what he was looking at”.
The moment when he threw behind Dez while Dez was sitting in place in the zone should’ve also been eye opening as to how wildly erratic his accuracy is.
No mistakes except lead the league in pick 6’sDak is the early edition of Alex Smith. He's not going to make mistakes. Efficient. Good numbers. Not likely to make many highlight reels.
