Given how much this forum is being used now, I have moved it up to the first section to give it more exposure.

If posts die down in it, I may move it back so keep using it if you want it to stay!

Freaked me out at first. "Have I been posting in the 'History' forum all this time???" Lol

Aye, it's always a fun game to move the forums around on members :D

The real fun would be if I started renaming the forums :)
It's crazy how much faster things happen on this forum compared to that other forum whose name shall not be mentioned... It took over half of last season to move the Tony Romo subforum when he wasn't even on the team anymore...

Well I try not to make a lot of changes as most people learn to use the site by muscle memory after a while and changing it up messes with that so moving forums is something I try to avoid during the season.

We have created a few temporary Zones (forums) over the years for topics that get out of hand thread-wise, but then we started having multiple topics getting out of hand so we created the Drama Zone to handle those.

We do try to stay on top of things though and deal with things before they get too bad when possible.

They didn't care about that forum very much at all. The mods did the best they could...
And it was like that for years. The thing I found funny was that Derrick kept posting articles in the NEWS forum but never responded to fans. And we all saw the lack of help the Mods got.
When that chic admin ruffled feathers, that was a little quake and some smoke. Shutting the forum down unannounced was a full on eruption.

Even better, rename the members and tell them who they are now. Exchange the names and we have to post as that person now. If you decide to do this, can you give me someone with a hot girlfriend or wife, preferably both?

Not to fan (pun intended) the flames, but back before DC.com added forums to their site, they contacted CZ to see if we were interested in becoming the official forums. It sounded great until I realized they wanted me to hand over the site in exchange for a few free tickets to games. This was not too long after the Commanders acquired their top fan forum site of ExtremeSkins for a considerable amount of money/benefits from what I heard.

Of course I said nope to that and you guys got your new home :)

If only they'd cared as much as the mods did. I think most became mods to help the forum that they loved a hell of a lot more than the owner and his minions.

But, I will miss that little bit of self-satisfaction knowing I was bashing him and he was footing the bill. And I did for a hell of a long time. Longer than most.

When I think of just how much we all complained about the technical issues over there and how smoothly this runs, I wish they had shut that down a long time ago.

The biggest difference I have noticed, and I noticed this as well on my first time here, is that the "authorities" here care about the experience and involvement of their members a hell of a lot more than at the old site and I am not including the mods in that group, they cared but didn't have enough power to get the problems fixed.

Ya know, me buckos, all comes down to being valued. That's what life comes down to and I feel more valued here after this short period of time than the entire time over there and I am not talking about the members or mods over there but just the general "feel" of that site.

Nah an eruption tends to leave a trace, this was more like a City falling into the ocean after an earthquake, a few survivors managed to flee on rafts and arrived on a strange shore, where They were welcomed by the technologically more sophisticated natives, I half expect to encounter Doug McClure and a horde of hungry dinosaurs.

But that's what fed your desire to be a bad Couchcoach.
Now you'd feel bad jacking threads, and making a nuisance of yourself.

Wow! That's interesting. Thanks for not turning it over and giving us a home. :)

At least they offered you something. We had an admin named Lindsey, who made her presence known on DC.com, and who talked about sending us mods Cowboys attire, and possibly tickets so us mods and admins could have a get together. I think maybe Jerry got wind because the next thing we knew, Lindsey had mysteriously moved on (at least that's what they told us).
