I saw this a 2nd time last week. It reinforced my issues with the film. The plot is a real illogical mess.

Big star wars fan here. I gotta say this movie was a pile of trash. The space battles were ok I guess but that's it.

How do you bring an iconic character like Luke Skywalker and do absolutely nothing with him. He needed to do more, a lot more.

Maybe The Empire Strikes Back spoiled me. The scenes of Yoda training Luke on Dagobah (sp?) were not that extensive but were dominant enough that the audience got a true glance at how a Jedi Master instructs a padawan. I went into The Last Jedi thinking we would see Luke teaching Jedi lessons to Rey that have not been seen before--even in the prequels. Nope. Nada. Zlitch.

"Breathe. Just breathe." Okay you passed the Jedi Academy exit exam. I am like what the heck man???
At least the scenes on Crait were pretty good, even though Luke was not truly there. Poor Kylo. :muttley:

There is several scenes that I enjoyed, especially the Hardware Wars (1978) reference, but overall I left the theater disappointed. I now understand why there is such a large deviation between the film critic scores and fan scores, because it was made less for Star Wars fans and more for film critics. If you're a Star Wars fan that wants to see it, I'd recommend saving some money and renting it later.

it's a terrible remake of The Empire Strikes Back. Oh, how I miss the days of #realstarwars as opposed to disneywars

It’s funny. I read this meme. It’s something like....

TFA is too much like other Star Wars movies.
TLJ is too different from other Star Wars movies. Lol

It’s not really implied that any lesson or training has been completed.
Luke gets scared off towards the end of “breathe, breathe”... Didn’t even get to lesson 3.

Why did George Lucas sell out? That is the question.

It wasn’t a sell out. He secured that legacy forever!

But if you want to stick with sellout. You and I would do the same.

I wouldn't have. I knew from the moment the sale was announced that disney would destroy star wars. So far, I've been right.

Your opinion.

This will be the best trilogy of the three.

OT was piece meal.
PT was done wrong.

This trilogy has so much meet to it. It’s there if you want to see it. IMO.

I would be ok with that.

The killing off of old characters... it just makes sense...

It’s life... it’s real life.... next generation comes up... takes over..

There is so much emphasis and hate about it. I don’t get it.

Tidbit:

Was watching “The Toys that made us”

Star Wars films: $7 billion thus far
Star Wars Toys, etc: $14 billion

Woweee!

Whoa never thought it’d be double!

it has so much crap to it. Disneywars is literally proof you can wrap a turd in iconoclastic wrappings and people will buy it.

I’m sorry that you would rather just look at it one way instead of maybe exploring the possibilities or better yet learning something about what they are truly doing here.

All good. I was like that one time too.

Now, I at least listen to others opinions and points of views in hope of opening new doors... possibilities.

I'll remain closed-minded against disneywars trash, thanks. I spent over 20 years and thousands of dollars on real Star Wars. this overblown SJW garbage isn't the Star Wars I came to love. It's just crap.

And unnecessary, since we know that the Empire won in How "A New Hope" should have ended.

A New Hope was great, but TESB was the best Star Wars movie. This disneywars garbage barely qualifies as a TV show, and not as Star Wars at all
