Great coach. Usually, when people make a case that such-and-such coach can't cut it in the playoffs, I write it off as a small-sample size/knee jerk fan reaction. Schottenheimer (Marty) and Reid might be exceptions to that reaction.

He’s a QB guru but has big game let downs.
I've always liked Reid. He built a championship team in Philly and certainly would of brought home a Championship had McRib not choked.

He also took KC out of the gutter. That said, he's not to blame for so called "big game let downs", the players are. Would love to see him coach the Cowboys. I really think he'd be capable of getting them over that playoff hump.

If you love losing in the playoffs, home playoff games, games you are supposed/should win.
....then hire Garrett

if he becomes available do you make the move?

He’s a QB guru but has big game let downs.

I’m torn as I sit here writing this
Lets put it this way! We have a guy coaching the team now that is masquerading as a head coach. He hasnt had any real training other than being taught by a couple coordinators that have failed at being a head coach. In reality he doesnt even coach the players and this team is all self taught from GM down to players. If Andy Reid becomes available that would be an instant upgrade to adding structure to the organization.

You have to wonder what he could do with an elite QB. I was never a big McNabb fan.

On the other hand the whole reason he got the KC gig was because the team was loaded with talent, but couldn't win. It's not like he had to build them up from scratch.

He’s never had a dominant power running game. That may resolve some of his clock management issues.

Or he’d just trade Elliot for a couple Desean Jackson clones.

We're about to find that out with Mahomes.

I personally would rather be watching the Cowboys play in January with a chance at making the Superbowl, over not a chance at all.
As a life long braves fan. I can't agree that team should have won 5 rings in the 90s. Blew the '91 & '96 series. Getting there just to lose will burn you out. It will make you resentful and angry at said coach and team. When Atlanta win in '95 I was relieved more than exhilarated by the win. Then crushed a yr later when we blew the series to the Yankees.

Marty and Andy are A to.B coaches. They can get you closebbut can't get you to the promise Land. Blame Ernest Byner but Marty never recovered from those heartbreaks.

Reid never gets over the hump and has a bad playoffs record for coaches with his all-time tenure in the league. Do you really want to be the last loser no one remembers year in and year out? Or the team people talk about because you should have won more.

People dismiss the 95 Braves.

They talk about 91, 92, 96,97,98,99 and how they didn't get the job done with the best roster in baseball and a great coach.
