1. If safety is so important, get rid of all but 4 Thursday games. Have the opening game, then 3 on Turkey Day. Also, all Turkey Day teams play at Noon on Sunday prior.

2. Stop going to London

3. Increase roster size to 60, dress 53 for every game. So many injuries, this adds more depth.

4. Increase playoffs from 6 to 7 teams per Conference. Only reward the top seed with a bye. Have 6 WC games, 4 Divisional games, 2 Champ games, 1 SB

5. Make all FGs that are 60+ yds worth 4 pts. I will get a lot of negativity for this one, but I believe it will add a whole lot of excitement, drama, and strategy to the game.

6. If you get all 3 challenges correct, you earn an extra timeout. You might see coaches roll the dice more if they feel they can pocket a 4th TO.

7. Change OT to the HS and College format. Maybe start at the 30 instead of the 25.

8. The SB winning city gets to host the following year's draft. So whoever wins this SB, that city would host the 2019 draft.

9. Fix the salary cap to were the franchise QBs salary does not count against the cap, as long as it doesn't exceed a certain max % of the team's total cap. This allows the franchise to get paid, while also allowing more money for other players on the team.

10. Make the line the same on touchbacks of punts, KOs, and turnovers. 2 separate lines is dumb and annoying. Either start everything from the 20 or the 25, but not both.

11. 2 games a year with true throw back jerseys.....1 home jersey, 1 road jersey.

This is all I can think of at the moment.

they need to allow for more practice time.
off season and during.

I miss the old sudden death rule...1st to score wins.Rule was changed for baby colts fans mad that they lost by fg to chargers and mvp manning didnt get a chance....boo-hoo,he had 4qtrs just like everyone else.

I think the draft needs to go back to where it used to be on the calandar.

It was changed after the Vikings lost to the Saints in the NFCCG. It was a dumb rule that potentially eliminates nearly half the game when it's most important. The current rules still do somewhat, but not as bad.

I remember Rich Eisen on Nflnetwork going on and on and on about how unfair it was to see the Nfl Mvp peyton manning not get a chance in OT when the chargers beat them by a fg.He then used it as an example why OT rules needed to be changed when interviewing the bogus commish.
I think it was dumb to change the reg season OT......you have 4Qtrs...DO SOMETHING...I liked it the old way....first team to score wins.

Both teams had 4 qtrs. Both deserve the same chance in OT.

was it san diego's fault the colts couldnt stop them.
everyone doesnt get a trophy....if you dont want to lose in OT by a fg...then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT....YOU HAVE 4Qtrs.
I want OT to be true sudden death.

A catch is two feet or one body part and control of the ball.

Eliminate the forward progress rule.

Full time referees.

Marijuana is a two game non-escalating suspension, if it has to be a suspension at all.

Teams get a one player roster exemption for a developmental QB.

All players who make a team can be active on game day.

I somewhat agree on OT. I'm ok with the current method, but the HS and college methods are total bush-league.

Why would you want football that's not really football?

You're not thinking about it logically. You are applying your standard to only one team, and not both.

Sudden death works in a sport like Hockey where it can go either way at any one time, not a sport like football when one team has "possession."

That's like saying if a baseball game goes to extra innings and the team scores in the top of the 10th, the home team doesn't get to bat in the bottom of the inning and the game is over.

1958 championship
Colts v Giants
one of the greatest games ever....because of SUDDEN DEATH.
Its perfect logic.
1st team to score wins.....if you cant stop it....GET BETTER.
Current OT rule where everyone gets a possession is P.C. crap.

I'd like for them to go back to the forced out of bounds on a catch rule. If a player has 1 foot down and is pushed out, and controls the ball, it should be a catch.

Also, go back to the ground can't cause a fumble, even on a catch. Bryant's catch was obviously a catch but the ground caused to ball to bobble. That's a stupid rule IMO.

Have a team of refs who worked together all year continue in the playoffs and Superbowl. This picking the best refs throughout the year causes confusion in games that are 1 and done.

Player's should get paid on their performance in each game they play and not receive a lump sum contract.

The problem with your forced out of bounds change is it brings subjectivity back into the rule. Subjectivity breeds inconsistency between officials, there's enough of that already. Leave it as it is, no subjectivity.

  • Full time game officials - no more geezers who work a desk job during the week
  • Replay Review - If you can't make a decision in 30 seconds, the call on the field stands
  • Roster Expansion - 53 dress, 0 inactive, 11 man practice squad - you make the team, you should have the opportunity to play
  • Eliminate domes - Say goodbye to your cushy, comfy homes - Play the game in the elements, like God intended
