We balled it "getting poofed", god forbid you fell on the wrong side of a Mod, they could poof you for the smallest thin and get away with it.
Power is a dangerous thing...that's why I don't want any. :lmao:

From what I have heard, Nad and Tsk started their own site and most of the old crew migrated to it, I chose not too. Nad in charge of poofing people, can you imagine...lol...I like Nad but...
heard it was tks and n2d2, the two individuals who disliked me more than any except starhart. but I wish them well in their venture. nad had his own style, but would never be one to poof people. he could dish it out and he could take it. a most diverse group of individuals to be sure.

Williams isn't going anywhere next season. I have said this before in others threads but it's worth repeating here too. When all the recievers on your team have a down year at the same time, the problem can't only be with the recievers

This is an obvious point the Dez haterz still haven't been able to surmount.

His 2018 salary is guaranteed. They'd be out $3.75 million just from the signing bonus if they could trade him. They'd be out a lot more with a release. The fact that the article doesn't even examine the cap ramifications of his release makes me think that it's a site that's not even worth reading.

+100

I'm all for moving on from T-Will but it doesn't make dollars or cents to be on the hook if you cut him in 2018.

the problem with our wr's has more to do with our 90's offense than with the wr's themselves.

 Bro tbh this is mostly positive site. There's some negative always guys, there's some positive always guys, I kinda fall in the middle somewhat...

This forum is right in the middle IMO where it should be.

If folks want unbridled positivity and rainbows they should check out blogging the boys to see the other extreme.

most of the salary cap "specialists" I've recently seen here are ok with the numbers, but when it comes to actually negotiating a deal with a player they seem to think we'll be the only negotiating team. they fail to realize other teams will be vying for the services of certain individuals. and if we've learned nothing else, it should be this. it's always about the money.

It is not always about the money

TRomo, TSmith, SLee, JWitten, TFred, OScan, TWill, Heath, CBeasley all took team friendly deals and routinely work with the FO to help the cause

I doubt ZMartin and DLaw go for every last dollar...... they might but they know if they want to stay and be a part of something they have to give a little

first thing romo did when it was time to renegotiate was fire his agent and hire a new one. then got a deal worth more than 100 million. cowboys made smith highest paid tackle before his deal was complete for fear of losing him to another team. lee took a fool's deal, one which cost him 2 million a coupe of years ago when he couldn't play in a game. witten is appropriately paid. scandrick's deal is basically what he's worth. t.will no big deal. heath and Beasley were happy to get their deals which were offered. not much in the way of negotiations. but my point was more about signing the top players, not just the serviceable. d.lawrence will be problematic. so too will be the zack deal. irving won't come cheap. hitchens won't come cheap. dez and murray didn't give us friendly deals. one left for the money. the other publicly threw a tantrum until he got his money.

Just curious. Since Twill had the most yards of seperation of any of our wr's and highest catch rate why is he on your list to let go? He isn't expensive, he's still prodctive. All receivers saw a 3+ yard drop for yards per catch in 2017, they had a similar drop from 2015 to their 2016 numbers.

Inconsistent...

Just look at this past weekend...every team had wide receivers making great plays, our wide receivers do not perform even close to level of the remaining teams.

So your blanket statement that it is always about the money isn't true........ a diva WR and an OPOY RB held out for more .......wow

The same wr group from 2015 saw a drop in yards per catch in 2016 and again in 2017. Not 1 or 2 receivers but the entire group. Maybe it's coaching....though we've had the same wr coach for 5 years, same offensive scheme. But yea it's all of the wr's fault.

TWill??? How about Dez? I think TWill is a fine 2/3. The issue is the #1 guy not being a #1 guy since 2014, yet is paid like a #1 guy. There have been a million excuses for Dez not producing. Bottom line is he relied on his physical abilities his whole life and now they are starting to slip. His cognitive abilities won't allow him to be an effective receiver into his 30s. That is the player they need to do something with. I firmly believe WR needs to be addressed in Rounds 1 or 2 and FA.

Listen to this guy. He knows what's up.

Well, his mom was smoking crack when she was pregnant with him. There's no way he was passing college classes on his own.

I would never bash Dez for any of that. By all accounts he is a pretty nice guy and I am sure he is proud to be a Cowboy.

I don't hate Dez as a person. He just isn't getting it done anymore and we are paying him top 5 money. We shouldn't continue to let that situation continue.

Let's let Dez off the hook and find him another team to play on.
