This guy, along with Ray Horton, could bring to the D.........sign him already

Ousted Seattle Seahawks coordinator a magical fit for Cowboys
If the Cowboys are serious about making their budding defense one of the best in the NFL, they'll pick up the phone.

One team's loss could be a tremendous gain for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Seattle Seahawks opted to part ways with defensive coordinator Kris Richard, one of the more talented coaches in the NFL. As luck would have it, bad or otherwise, the Cowboys are currently grieving the loss of linebackers coach/passing game coordinator Matt Eberflus -- who reportedly declined the team's offer of making him defensive coordinator on his way out the door to take the same post with the Indianapolis Colts. In one fell swoop, the Cowboys are now left to find a new assistant and a future DC, considering Rod Marinelli won't be in the NFL for much longer

They were both Defensive Coordinators last year. I'd be happy to take them both, but I don't think they will.

I could be wrong but I think Horton either out of work last year or was fired early in the season. I guessing he's ready to sign like now. Krist, on the other hand, may wanna wait to if he can get another coor job before signing as a positional coach.

Oh yeah. You're right. Horton did sit out last year. Just for thought, he was a DC for 6 years prior to that.

Hey it could happen. I think Krist may be a hot commodity though, teams love the Seattle connection.

I'd take either though, or the Vikings guy, especially with our young secondary.

Please don't botch this Jerry.

Unless Marinelli retires, or takes a dirt nap, Jerry won't be going after this one. That's unfortunate because the "bend don't break" philosophy doesn't create enough turnovers. We need more interceptions and definitely need guys who are good at not giving up 3rd and long.

If they are going to lose a very respected young mind in Eberflus would make way to much sense to bring in another respected mind to replace and eventually take over the D. I'm a proponent for the guy just don't see it happening. I want no part of Pagano...

I would have to admit that the defense made some improvements throughout the year...but, that is if they were fully staffed/healthy....go get this guy and horton....let them build a dominant defense...draft some LB's, a DT and with legit coaching, you just may have something there
