I was hoping Tremaine Edmunds would fall through the cracks and be an option at 19 but he's getting a lot of love now.

He is such an athletic freak of nature, I would love to see him with a star on his helmet. Thx for posting the mock BTW.

Two comments. I don't want Vea. Please God give me a WR.

And if the Browns draft that kid from Wyoming, they should just pack up and sell the franchise. They need to take Darnold.

4. Cleveland Browns (Houston) - *Saquon Barkley RB Penn St.

I would be absolutely shocked to see Barkley get by the Colts...

If I'm the Browns...I go Barkley #1....then go QB. I could live w. Mayfield or Allen @ 4.;)

Here's what M Kiddy has to say about Allen at 1....

Cleveland has to take a quarterback. Has to. And a winless season means the Browns can pick whichever one they want. My evaluations on this quarterback class are really close. I've gone back and forth a few times on Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold and Allen, but I just moved Allen up to my No. 1 quarterback. His numbers aren't impressive, I know. But the NFL is all about projection, and he has a high ceiling. Coaches want to work with the 6-foot-5 Allen because he has all of the tools. I said last month that he is one of my favorite prospects in this class. The other top quarterbacks have warts, and there is no slam-dunk No. 1 prospect, which makes it a fun class. Scouts are looking forward to seeing Allen at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, next week, where he will work out with much better talent.

Scary thing about Allen...he could very well turn into Paxton Lynch....Then what?

Your 0-16...and you just drafted a QB that set your franchise back another 4 years....time to move to Canada?

Wow, Allen at #1?

Could understand passing on Darnold, but Rosen would be the #1 choice.

He doesn't want to play in Cleveland...that's the dilema. Rosen could possibly sit out the season...go back into the draft for 2019...then what?

Cleveland is out of the #1 pick w/ nothing to show for it. Imagine....0-16....and the #1 pick screws you. Talk about salt in the wound. Wouldn't shock me to see Cleveland in the very end trade out of the pick...or pass on Rosen altogether.

Davenport moving up is frustrating. It happens every year. I think I know something scouts don't know and all of a sudden my pick is out of reach.

Saw the highlight reel...and was wondering...where are the plays????? Devin Taylor 2.0....and he was a 5th rounder. o_O

I'm not a big stats guy but 56% completion percentage needs a really good explanation for me.

It's not smart to rely solely on stats but it's probably just as dumb to completely disregard them too.

Who was he throwing to? Not a hot bed of NFL WRs...

Allen reminds me a lot of Paxton Lynch. A guy with all the physical tools but needs a lot of work.

Don't know if he will be the failure that Lynch has been so far, but his relatively low completion percentage in college is not a good sign.
Interesting comparison with Paxton Lynch. The sports media buzz around Denver is that the Broncos and John Elway have given up on Lynch - it is not a talent issue, but rather his lack of commitment to the game. The talk is that Denver will try to draft a QB in the 1st as well as signing a vet.

Talk about a boom to bust prospect: from 1st round pick to 3rd string in 2 years.

Darnold is a bust waiting to happen IMO.

He's a horrible decision maker and if that doesn't change in the pros, he's going to be a big time flame out.
