He's the best player in the draft IMO. Surest thing too.

If he slid to 19, which there is no chance in hell he would, the Cowboys should freaking sprint to the table and hand in their card.

Guess what...... we are still the same 8-8, 9-7 team we have always been.... other teams have hit rck bottom succeeded and hit rock bottom and succeeded again and we just tread water

So what? Take Ridley then if he's on the board over Nelson?

That would be dumb. If an elite talent like Nelson does the unthinkable and slides, you'd be foolish to not take him.

Move Dez inside against S and LBs
Then sign Jerrick McKinnon for RB2
Let Rico Gathers play next year
See if KD Cannon can make the team over NBrown

It would be a dumb decision.

You take the best available talent in the first round unless you have absolutely no use for him. So if a TB that was slated to go #1 fell, you probably shouldn't take him as you already have Zeke.

But you could use another OG. Nelson is the best one to come out in some time. The Cowboys would be fools to pass that up. It's all moot anyway. 18 teams aren't going to be foolish enough to let him go past him. He's the surest kid in the entire draft.

I like Brown and see no reason why Cannon has to make it over him. Butler is gone

We don't need 18 teams to pass on him, only 17, the Browns have 2 picks

You haven't a clue if Brown or Cannon will out perform those guys. Brown and Switzer actually played well in limited snaps. Cannon replacing Butler isn't a huge stretch. Now only need to replace 1 of the top 4 receivers

Actually we have a pretty decent idea. Brown could barely get much PT this year until very late in the year and when he did play, he should decent enough skills to be a 4th or 5th WR.

Kannon is on his 4th team in one year. That should tell you something, which is, we shouldn't really put much stock into him amounting to much at all at this point.

Never denied we shouldn't have competition but expecting a guy like KD Cannon, who was on 4 rosters this year, to provide real competition and real threat to make this roster is probably wishful thinking at this point.
