It makes me nauseous liking your post but I actually agree with you for once. I’ve been to a Cowboys game and seen fans of rival teams minding their own business but were constantly harassed to the point of near fights. This went on everywhere from the parking lot to bathrooms to beer lines. At first I thought it was an isolated occasion but I saw it at least two games I went to. I was embarrassed as a Cowboys fan. I understand there’s good and bad fans for every team but it is every team.

Granted, it wasn’t at a game but I was at a few bars in Philly during football season a few years ago and everyone I met who found out I was from TX and a Cowboys fan actually bought myself and my wife a beer. Again, maybe I just got lucky but they’re not all bad and it happens everywhere.

Ironic part was when we were leaving to go to the airport, I opened the Uber door and the guys car was decked out in Cowboys gear. Steering wheel covers, seat covers, floor mats, etc. I couldn’t believe it and asked if he had a death wish. He laughed it off and said he’s never had any problems.

Also, from my understanding the Eagles and Giants fans hate each other more then either one of them hate us since they live in such close proximity together and often work with each other, commute with each other, etc.

Eagle fans hate all teams not the Eagles, but have a special place in their heart for Dallas. Giants are second to Dallas.

You're luck at the bar....It depends which bar you went to. Big sports bars like Champs, Wild Wings, etc... are typically good. Smaller bars might be a problem.

Small bar, Khyber Pass and another one close by I can’t recall.

There was another small bar that had a “Dallas Sucks” screen saver, stickers and shirts for sale but they were all really nice when I was there. Can’t think of the name of that one either. It was by Monks Cafe though.

Not true at all. I wore my cowboys gear and had footballs thrown at me and was told to leave at halftime being threatened to be stabbed. I didn’t say a word or start any problems
That doesn't mean it'll happen to every single Cowboys fan that goes to a game. Just saying.

Doesn’t surprise me. I used to live near Philthy and travel back to visit my family every year. My 6 year old daughter was wearing her Cowboys T-shirt and some middle aged man came up to her and said “cowboys suck!”

Me teaching my daughter well - she says right back at him without a beat and defiantly, “how many rings?”

Proud father right here.

Seen it happen at AT&T as well, more than once. It happens everywhere. Based on our prior conversations I’d probably throw footballs at you too :lmao:

My wife punched a giants fan in the mouth at the opening of the new stadium in 09. She’s 5 ft 2 and 100lbs. Giants fan was heckling me after they won and his girl said the wrong thing. So I guess just don’t be a jerk lol

The Linc is nowhere near as bad as the Vet was. At the Vet I saw a guy get his Aikman jersey torn off then set on fire in the 700 level. That stuff doesn't go on anymore. There are no cheap seats at the Linc like there was at the Vet.

Oh, don't wear a gun in Philly. You will be arrested. Most of the state is gun friendly but Philly isn't.

met a bunch of Philly fans in Jacksonville for Super Bowl XXXIX ... they are over rated... met bigger jerks in Chicago and at the Jets stadium...

Best thing i can say about going to another teams stadium is don't skimp on the tickets... the a-holes with the biggest mouths and largest beer muscles are usually found in the cheapest seats

Many of the folks I have met from the Midwest are good-natured, hearty, outdoor types with Rambo-like survival instincts. May want to warn the Philly crowd not to poke the bear.

I’ve made it a goal to try and catch a cowboys game against every team..except the eagles.

I will never travel or give a dollar to that **** hole

Monks cafe is a good bar with a huge selection of beer. Try the mussels if you every go back.

You should look at it like this! Go there and enjoy yourself but be prepared to hear a lot of crap if your wearing your jersey. Better off going with some friends than taking your wife or GF. The food tossing is spot on. Years ago a buddy of mine got hit in the back of the head with a hot dog that was loaded up with mustard and ketchup. He was probably drunk and screaming and deserved it. LOL

I did! I’m a beer nerd which is why I walked from Khyber Pass to Monks in that huge blizzard a few years ago. I also hate mussels unless I’m really drunk and they’re really good. Monks didn’t disappoint :)

I actually used to despise Philly but after making 4 trips there over the course of 6 months or so I’ve come to really enjoy it. Being a history netd doesnt hurt either.
