It was complete b.s., but from like just inside 3 minutes my direct tv froze. Next thing I see thing all $$$$$ Tom Brady (he's not as good as Rodgers), but anyways, I call direct Tv to complain. I got a 55 discount for 12 months. I was pissed, had to talk for a hour, but well worth it at least.

I should try that.... I had some thunderstorms move through here north of town, and missed some action at the start of the 4th quarter.....

The same reason Dallas gets ratings.

Tragic part is we do not get the wins as a side effect.

Since when does NE get ratings though as a unique phenomenon in the NFL.

Last weeks Patriots-Titans game was like the lowest in 12 years.

CBS been riding their jocks before they even started winning, because of Kraft’s connections to CBS and Viacom.

Cowboys have dominated ratings historically..

It could work, went from regular service, to technical support, and then finally to loyalty. I have not had this cheap of a cable bill in like 10 years lol if ever.

This game is a perfect example of how coaches can win or lose a game. The Jags were calling a run on first down in the 2nd half every series and were getting stuffed each time. On 3rd and long if they converted on the very next first down another run for 1 yard.

It seems obvious to me that the OC. Needed to pass on first then run on second if you gained 7 or 8 on first. This inability to adjust really hurt the Jags. It caused them to not sustain their drives and punt back to the Pats.

In short, their play caller came down with Garrettitis.

Coaches are important and it is always evident the most in big games.

Please stop. This stuff is stupid. You skipped that Jax got ball on iffy fumble call. Gronk call was completely correct and has been called for years. Left feet and hit head. Nothing to argue. The PI was obvious. WR has right to ball and DB grabbed arms and pushed him out. It wasn’t like he rode him to sideline. He mauled him. Called weekly. Brady just had 148 yards and 2 TDs in 4th with no Gronk, Edelman or run game vs #1 D. Stop whining at greatness

Pi was not.. WR was out of bounds before the ball was anywhere near the play or ‘contact occured’ because DB had perfect positioning on the sidelines.

Even Esiason called out the Gillette favoritism..

And put on the practice squad all season to develop. The Eagles, who were in the playoffs offered him a practice squad spot after the regular season and he accepted. He didn't have to accept that spot with them.
If Dallas really anted him they could have protected him, like they did this year with that TE that never saw the field

Did it get boring when it was basically the Niners or Cowboys in the early 1990s?

How about the 1970s with the Steelers and Cowboys basically owning the decade?

But let's complain about another dynasty that we are just envious of because we are inept and can't even string together significant winning seasons back to back.

There was a legitimate argument for that because there was no real free agency. The whole point of the new free agency was parity.

Teams that built a good team won more than once in a given period.

And BTW, no way Brady is winning this game or plenty of other comebacks without Bellichek and Ernie Sims who has an uncanny ability to dissect every play offensively by the opposing team after half-time..

It’s really an insult to Bellichek that the homers ride Brady’s jock saying Bill can’t win without him.

Every double fight comeback that they showed by Brady, had plays like the ineligible-eligible WR that completely changed the game.. every time you see the Patriots struggling, half time comes around, Bellichek takes control and teams are locked down..

And Brady’s OL gives him all the time in the world on third and long..

I hope Bellichek and Brady split before they both retire so I can see Brady start losing a lot more regularly..

Gimme a break. They don't grow on trees.
Why is having greatness a problem? Should we stop watching the NBA since I can predict Golden State will be there again this year? And face it: No one had Jax, Philly or Minnesota. It's just one team destroying the curve.

I didn't say "greatness" was a problem. Stop speed reading, slow down, and actually think.

There is "greatness" and then there is "dominance". When you have a conference where the MAJORITY of the teams can't find a franchise QB or put a functioning team around a franchise QB, those great teams will succeed even more.

And stop being stupid. The NFL is set up that if you are failing, you get rewarded with a high draft pick. That means every single season, these failing teams have a shot at a great prospect when it comes to QB and have CONSISTENTLY FAILED to find their guy.

A Cleveland Browns should not exist in a multi-billion dollar league. They add nothing to it, other than parody. And the other teams I listed aren't much better. Some of them have gone even longer than the Browns (they are young) with not having a franchise guy.

And yes, you should stop watching any sport that allows itself to become predictable.

Plus they were long developing pass plays on the second half for the Jags and Bellichek started bringing the pressure the second half. It amazes me they didn’t throw and screen or slants except one that was, ‘ironically’ successful, that whole time.

Well that is Boomer :)

I thought DB had too much grabbing of arms and forced him out.

Either way it didn’t win the game. Jags with #1 D and 10 pt lead in 4th just failed to stop a weapon less Pats. Jags ruled game with gashing runs in 1st and play action. 3rd into 4th went to Bortles too much and got cute

You are right the second half was awful, inexplicable from a coaching perspective, but that play totally gave the Pats life.

Unreal! They’re 1st half was like our early 90s..run them into ground and play action. Bortles didn’t get touched. Then mid 3rd Bortles came out throwing and Pats knocked him down. After that the tide had turned and adjustments were made

I just read that Jacksonville was called for 5 Pass interference penalties for the entirety of the season up until today.

Then they had two called on them right at critical moments when New England needed them most.

Sounds about right.

We have a *League* where a majority of teams cannot find a franchise QB. The Patriots have been successful for almost 2 decades because they have arguably the greatest coach of all time and arguably the greatest QB of all time. Of course they are going to win an awful lot.

....and I just told you, that's the problem.

Teams getting a top 5-15 pick almost every single year and they fail to get their guy or to develop that guy into their franchise QB is hurting the league.

That's just one of the problems. You then have a team like the Chargers who have had Rivers and have only made the playoffs one time since 2010. Colts get the Luck, one of the most surefire QB prospects to come out of college, and they refused to put an offensive line around him to the point they should have criminal charges brought down on them for what they put that poor guy through. It took Broncos signing an already established QB in Manning before they had consistent success, outside of that, they've went through QB after QB since Elway retired.

It's one thing if the league wasn't set up to reward teams for playing poorly, but it is. And still these teams can't build anything competent.

Sadly, the only time things will start to change is when more and more people start tuning out. Which is beginning to happen.
