Shaquem is the twin brother of Seahawks rookie corner this year Shaq Griffin. He had a birth defect that took his hand at 4 yrs of age but has been determined to not let his disability stop him from playing football. He was the heart and soul of this years undefeated UCF team that went undefeated and proclaimed themselves national champions.

Wouldn't this be the ultimate publicity stunt Jerry pick. Taking this kid. Regardless of what round it is, when I first heard about his story last year I thought it wouldn't surprise me if we took this kid.

I mean it just makes perfect sense.

If it’s in the 5th or 6th sure. But please don’t let this be the 2nd round pick

He might be a good back-up for WLB, but I think he should shed a few pounds and become a Strong Safety in the NFL. His coverage skills were excellent at UCF and I have a feeling his 40 times will be eye opening at the combine.

Johnny I agree he is a really good ball player. I was impressed with the way he players given his disability. It was no big deal and he shined. I am seriously thinking we could give him a shot because he is a fine player and human being. I am interested in how he does during senior bowl week.

It will be interesting to watch film on this guy. We talk all the time about needing space eating DTs to cover up injury prone Sean Lee and foot drop Jaylon Smith. This guy could probably be a solid player but you NEED to protect him. He has no chance of being able to stack and shed NFL OLinemen.

Sorry but no. He's a great story and I wish the kid luck but I need my football players to have both hands (especially at the Pro level). Pass.

He should be drafted but i dont think he will be. He's a better player than a lot of guys that will probably be taken before him. His floor would be a great special teams guy, his ceiling is a servicable back up/nickel LB. It'll take some guts to draft him but someone is going to get a good player.

I expect the Seahawks to draft him. One, they already have hos twin brother. Two, Pete Carroll type of move.

He could be a great pick up as a later round pick to be a WLB/ST guy. He isn't going to make interceptions but most LBs don't.

I was at a conference where former MLB pitcher Jim Abbott was the lunch keynote, I wasn't expecting much but he actually gave a great talk about how he worked around the same disability to have a MLB career (87 career wins and a no hitter). I could see this kid being the same type of story. Not another Sean Lee but still a contributor.

I would take him day 3, we have a lot of compensatory picks unless we use them in a trade
