Yeah, I'm not a fan of Sanjay Lai and Paul Alexander at all. I'm not at all saying Dooley or Pollack were better, I am saying we missed an opportunity to significantly upgrade just like we did the last two off-seasons by sitting out of free agency.

Get better every day and every way possible. Everything else is losing.

Kris Richard To The Cowboys?
profootballrumors.com

January 22nd, 2018 at 4:33pm CST by Greg Goldstein
The Seahawks moved on from former defensive coordinator Kris Richard after the team agreed to terms with former Raiders defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. However, the 38-year-old coach may be on his way to Dallas after discussing a potential role with the team on Sunday, a source tells Adam Schefter of ESPN.com (Twitter link).

Richard coming to the Cowboys could be a major addition given the success he had in Seattle during his three-year tenure leading one of the best defenses in football. Cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinellidoesn’t appear to be losing his job to Richard, instead he could just add another coach to help continue to build Dallas’ defense next season.

Under Richard’s guidance, the Seahawks finished in the top five in total defense in 2015 and 2016, but dropped to number 11 this past year. However, Seattle did lose key starters in Kam Chancellor, Cliff Avril and Richard Sherman. The Cowboys ranked as a top ten defense in 2017, but could always use more experienced voices in the locker room.
BRING IT.

Get over it folks - Richard isn't being interviewed to take the head coaches position, nor is anyone else. Can't we have a discussion about a particular candidate for a particular job without so many trying to divert it into a Garrett bashing thread? I would like a new head coach myself, but there are other topics.

if we allow Richard to go elsewhere JJ should fire himself. This is a golden opportunity to get a top shelf D coach.

Agreed. Move Rod up and to another role and let Richard become the defensive coach.

More so reason, he won’t sign here.

I don't know what, if anything, the Cowboys will offer him, but it's not all about the Cowboys wants. Dallas doesn't have right of first refusal on every coach or player they may want. We don't know what other choices Richard will have, or what all the factors that will weigh into his decision will be.
