Nate Newton said a few times that you just don't let a young QB get shellacked from his blind side all day in a game. It will affect his play going forward. It does look like that's how the season played out. However you want to complain about the oline after that point, Dak was just missing guys too.

Dak missed plenty of guys before that. Brady missed plenty today as well.

There were sign those 1st 8 weeks that teams were catching up to Dak and our offence. In those 1st 8 weeks Daks completion percentage was also off more than 5 points to 62.8% from 68 and his YPA was off a full yard at 6.99 down from 7.99. As for his QB rating it was not 102.85 (you don't take each week and divide by 8) his QB rating after 8 games was in the 94-95 range (still good). These were facts you also failed to include
[/QUOTE]

LOL Is that bad or something? And yah they had film on him and were taking away Beasley.

so what was his EXACT QB rating then? So I divided by 8 and what did you do? make it up in your head?

The stats dont lie buddy. Other than picks he was headed for an even better season.

What's Romo got to do with anything?

Has Dak thrown a TD in the last two minutes of a game yet? Not just this year, and not counting any garbage time. I don't think he has. Is there a QBR for that stat?

Because the only moron Cowboy fans that would hate on Dak are Romo cry babies. Just like the idiots that used to cut up Romo, it was stupid. Agenda

Yea way to make a point......."now you can't post factual stats to prove me wrong". It's easy to win a debate like that

I know the stats, but if you watched the games, they werent translating from game 1. Each week I waited for it to get better before Zeke was lost or Tyron got hurt. He never looked like Dak of '16 this season. I hope he bounces back, but pointing to stats shouldnt make anyone feel better. Go back and watch those games again. It never felt like he was on the same page with his wr(s), not just one of them....

Hard to be on the same page when balls hit you in the hands and it's dropped. Sometimes watching live will fool your eyes. While stats don't prove everything they are pretty good to show you that you may have missed some things.......etc.

Before Tyron went out hurt Dak was on pace with the MVPs like Watson and later Wentz. That's even including the debacle in Denver.

Not a single Dak supporter will say he doesn't need to develop more. He just finished his second season, of course he needs to improve. The problem is the Dak haters want to see him gone and make up crap like Dak is garbage etc. but forgetting he only had a few bad games in his career so far.

Not only that Dak has led us to back to back winning seasons for the first time in over 20 years. We can win with Dak, we can not however go far if this coaching staff doesn't change

We don't have the front office or coaching to get it done. Dak was good as long as all the stars align. If anything is off, so is Dak. I hope he can grow and become special. I really don't want the parade of morons we had following Aikman.

I think the front office is doing a better job in the past 2-4 years than it did in the past. Part of that is a credit to McClay... But let's give credit for the Cowboys to give Will a job. Prior to working with the Cowboys he was in Arena Football.

The coaching isn't perfect but it's 100x better than fans here think it is.

I agree about McClay. That said, they are still prone to stupid moves. If they let Hitchens go and are counting on a one footed LB to replace him, I'm going to be pissed. Hitchens and Lee make a great team together.

I'm sure they plan on Jaylon starting. They didn't draft a guy who might never play that high to hem and haw if he beat the odds and healed up.

They'll have a few more months to monitor his progress until the draft. If he keeps progressing, he's starting.

I want Hitchens back. Solid LB. Understands the game.

I'd like a lot of guys back, but don't want to pay the money it would take to keep them. Would have loved to have Leary back.

We've got our main LB starters. Hitchens will be a starter somewhere. Somewhere else. They'll offer more, we won't match it.

That is not a fair or objective criticism. We all want Dak to succeed. As he goes, so goes the team. But, lets be realistic about what happened last season too. He footwork in the pocket was bad. His accuracy to certain parts of the field was bad. Defenses adjusted to him and his tendencies with the football, and he did not show as an elite Qb as a result. I'm not giving up on him yet, but he has to get a lot better than he was in 2017 if this team which is built on offense is going anywhere in January.

Dak was on pace for a better season until Zeke and Tyrone went down. If Dak had gone south BEFORE that the your case would be valid.

2017? You mean half of 2017?

See, you dont even know what your talking about.

Can I cherry pick my coaches and front offices too? This organization isnt even close to either of those. I dont even know how you compare the two.

Put Brady on the Cowboys with Jerry and Garrett and he doesnt win ONE SB. Ive also gone on record as saying I would take Wentz over Dak.

So im not sure what your sniffing at there or what your point is.

My point is that you are making a case for Dak that basically excuses his poor play. I'm saying Philly played the whole season without Jason Peters, they don't have near the quality of rbs we do, and their back-up QB just won 2 playoff games. So, stop making excuses for Daks poor performances, and trying to pin his struggles on injury to others. He was healthy and has no excuses.

He had no production in the first half which allowed Green Bay to play very comfortably. They opened things up in the second half and that is where his numbers come from.
How many times did Romo need to dig himself out of a hole he created himself through turnovers? We always said it didn’t matter if he put us in a position to ultimately win.

What if I don't hate Dak, but want a beating? Can I get maybe a small beating if I hate his shoes or something? Must I hate all of Dak?

Dak is handcuffed by this coaching staff. That is a legitimate excuse!!! Brady would not be the Goat with this coaching staff

We may have our LB starters, depending on Jaylon’s recovery. As of the end of the season Hitchens was a better player than Jaylon. We need to find a way to keep him if possible.

That is one theory. But, its the same coaching staff that coached him in 2016 when he had a pro bowl season. Another theory is that defenses adapted to his game and challenged him to make more difficult throws. Coaching can't overcome a lack of arm talent. He's slow to recognize defenses and unable to throw wrs open or anticipate when a wr will come open . Norv Turner said that he once had to explain to Troy AIkman was "open" looked liked in the NFL. .................and Aikman was working with a cannon for an arm and laser accuracy. Dak has neither.
