I didn't read all the posts here, but of the ones I did read nobody mentioned all the political BS. That's the main reason I lost interest in the NFL this year and I have a lot of friends that quit watching for that reason. It's bad enough that we have to watch 300 commercials during games, but now we have to be force-fed all the political BS too. If I want to catch up on politics I'll watch CNN. When the NFL gets back to football, I'll watch the NFL again. Until then, they're just digging their own graves.

And for all the entitled millionaires playing in the NFL that are protesting our country, feel free to explore a professional football contract in another country. Don't let that big Red White and Blue door hit you in the a** on your way out...

They aren't protesting this country. But I bet you thought Rosa Parks was protesting the bus system.

You sound like you think Toby Keith is good music judging by this post.

I really think a lot of people just had enough of rich spoiled players who have made millions playing a sport but disrespect the country. Most of these players would not have been well off except for sports. And most would be worse off living any where else in he world.

I also think that so many fans resent being lectured by the NFL and or the networks. Bob Costas gun control rant is one example. This is been going on for years now. I have also read where the NFL has given money to political or social movements like BLM. They have chosen to become political. Regardless of what movements they support they will alienate a lot of people. The NFL needs to stick to football. People watch the games and follow the NFL for an escape. Once the escape is gone there is a lot less reason to watch.

Good lord this post reeks of ignorance. You are the mindset of "listen here boy, we pay you money so shut and play and don't step out of line". Y'all are the worst. I'm glad you think they are supposed to act a certain way because they earned their way doing what they do. But keyboard, flag waving warriors like you get offended when they don't act like you want them to. I think it's hilarious.Murica!! Don't agree, then leave the country!! Murica!

BS!!!!
You are here in January and our Cowboys are not playing. The locker rooms have been cleared out and half of the team is sitting on a beach somewhere and you are pretending to have quit football just so you can bring politics into this thread.

You then expose yourself with the last piece of MERICA!!! in your last sentence. Not agreeing with a social problem doesn't mean a person should have to leave the country. What kind of weak minded crap is that?

Keep the politics out of here.

All the flag wavers have that mentality. Either conform to our thinking or get out of the country. It is so pathetic.

Wow, "internet tough guy comments". Really? The only one threatened by my comments appears to be you. Please post any threats I made. As for my Red White and Blue "bullcrap", as you put it, I stand by that. I believe ANYONE has the right to protest the wrongs in this country. I don't believe they have the right to do it where they work. I watch football to watch football, plain as that. If you can't understand that then I don't know else to tell you...If you want to call me a "liar" because I say I don't watch football because of the protests, then so be it...you're the only one I've seen attacking anyone in this thread...

I'm done with you...

You realize they protest BEFORE the games right? Not during the action. They don't stop down the game.

And no, this has nothing to do with protesting on the job. It's clear as day why you are upset.

A little late to the party aren't we?

Let it go already. You seem to think you have everyone figured out when you have no clue whatsoever. Leave it alone...

Jerry is a great owner he’s a lousy GM. He wouldn’t have been elected to the Hall of Fame if he was a lousy owner. I don’t think there’s anything fishy going on between the Cowboys and the league and anyone who thinks there is shouldn’t be watching the games. If you didn’t watch Dallas games this year don’t understand why you’re even posting here. You must have been watching them if you didn’t see any holding calls.

You make no sense. How is Jerry a great owner and a lousy GM at the same time? Contradicting. A great owner would have fired that GM over a decade ago. He is on record of saying such. Therefore, he is a lousy owner. And the fact Garrett gets year 8 and has did nothing at all to warrant that. Jerry has been a terrible owner for over 2 decades and has made the Cowboys a cesspool of mediocrity. He has created a toxic culture starting from the top.

Jerry got in because of the 90s teams he had hardly anything to do with. That was Jimmy. He was the one who got that Herschel trade set in motion. He got this team coached up. Jerry knew that and that's why he got drunk and told him off and their relationship fell apart. Jerry wanted all the credit. Lucky enough, we still had enough talent on the team to squeak out another ring.

Even if you want to give Jerry credit for those teams, add up those years and divide by his total years as owner. It's a terrible percentage. In fact, he became a terrible owner the second he wanted to fire Jimmy because he was stealing his limelight. Now he's on a power trip that no one can stop. He would rather fail doing it his way with his hand picked stepson as coach than let someone else take over and get credit.

You’re the one not making any sense. If Jerry was a lousy owner he wouldn’t have been elected to the HOF. He’s admitted he’s been a lousy GM as has many others. He certainly isn’t going to fire himself. He’s been a great owner and it wasn’t just in the 90s. He’s built a beautiful stadium/training facility and has become one of the most powerful people in the NFL, despite the fact the Cowboys have done nothing the past 20-plus years. The 90s teams happened because of Jerry, he’s the one who hired Jimmy.

Jerry had to sign off on everything Jimmy did or nothing would have happened. If it was only about the 90s Jimmy would be in the Hall of Fame. Only those out of touch with reality would say he’s a lousy owner. Everyyone knows about Jerry’s faults you’re not pointing out anything that everyone doesn’t already know.

Like I said you’re the one not making any sense. Many who get paid to talk football have called Jerry a great owner and a lousy GM. Those are two different hat he’s wearing. Jerry isn’t on record as saying “a great owner” would have fired that GM at least I can’t find him using those exact words. He’s on record as saying he would’ve fired himself. You thinking he’s a lousy owner is your opinion. These were Jerry’s comments.

Sorry but the protests of the protests worked.............ratings are down over 20% from 2016

And there are a lot more Toby Keith fans at NFL games than M+M fans

Your side lost badly...........CK is still unemployed and hardly anyone is still kneeling

When the primary job of the owner is to hire the GM, how can anyone say Booger is a great owner? He has failed to hire the right GM and that GM hired Johnson because they were college roommates and Parcells to get his stayjum. Look at the other HC's.

Great owners, as defined by fans, strive to build champions, not top revenue producers, ratings drivers and entertainment. Great owners, as defined by owners, is exactly what he is. The phenomenal success in revenue weighed against the actual product is nothing short of amazing.

I have argued this great owner/poor GM theory for years and don't get it. Is the owner's #1 job not to hire the right man to build his team? He did that when he first bought the team and never again.

With the Cowboys missing the playoffs and Philly going to the Super Bowl there’s lot of Cowboy fans hating on Jerry right now. I’m not going to waste my time arguing everyone’s opinion of him. Anyone who knows football will tell you he’s been a great owner and a lousy GM. If he wasn’t a great owner he wouldn’t have been elected to the Hall of Fame and have the power he does. I’m as pissed as anyone about his GM skills and the lack of success the team has had the past 20+ years because of them. Jerry hired the right man to build his team when he first bought it and allowed him to show him the way. It’s not likely that he’ll ever go back to that way of doing things again and we might as well accept it.

Ratings drop as the ease of steaming online increases...what a shocking revelation! I’d bet more young people don’t pay for cable then actually do.

got nothing to do with it

ratings are a % of metered TV households extrapolated out of the entire population

and people that cut the cord get HD over the air broadcasts of CBS, NBC and FOX for free...just like the old days when TV was free for everyone

and streamers are still paying top dollar to cable and phone companies for Internet service

ratings are down because LESS people are watching the NFL than before by %

Ratings continued to fall this past weekend. 11% down from last year's conference championships. A 10% Superbowl drop would be icing on the cake
I am doing my part. We are goin' fishin'. I will not be watching the game.

NFL should have realized, you just can't be THAT crooked. 1 penalty. Sure.

I agree. I couldn’t be more bored with the ******** patriots. Couple that with terrible officiating and my hatred for goodell. My interest in the NFL is at an all time low.
Yep, the flagfest and “steering of games” is killing the game unless you are a Cheatriots fan. Also not a fan of that Roger guy, he sucks.
