I mean, seriously, it's been proven over and over that you're not going to beat him that way.

Let the dawgs loose!!!

Sigh another Patriots Super Bowl.. What should be Jacksonville's plan of action here? How come Bortles hasn't ran it yet on a run pass option with a fake to Fornette, believe he's more athletic then Dak, and lbs would be like missiles to Fornette. Wish I had some confidence in Bortles, but I don't.

They had Brady in check then switched to a soft zone, things that make you go hmmmm....

Happens every time conveniently.. throws a bunch of underneath passes that happen to have all sorts of room for RAC too because if these soft zones..

It seriously looked like JAX was throwing the game. There's just no explanation that makes sense. You don't beat Brady w/ coverage, period. You beat him by beating him up back there. There's no other way. And yet, JAX tried a method that has repeatedly failed in 4th qtrs.

C'moooooooon.

One of the many reasons why I think the NFL is rigged. In what world do teams STOP doing what's working? If they were playing ANY other team, do you think they change from what was WORKING? And they stopped running with one of the players that was GASHING the Pats every time. He wasn't stopped. They just sat him. It was like, "Okay, we've had our fun, now we have to let the Pats win or we broke league rules." One of the many grievances for why I'm begrudgingly am going to have to break a cardinal Cowboy rule in 2 weeks. I just can't root for the Pats. I can't do it.

They had Brady on the ropes. Dude was missing passes left and right. Soooooooooo, they pull back the rush and play soft zone?

OK, let's turn it around. When was the last time Brady didn't tear a soft zone to shreds? Like....never?

I am rooting against the Pats, and that's no matter who they play.

However, for the first time in 30 years, I'm sitting this one out. Wish more would also. Why? The blatant missed holding calls, and two key PI calls against JAX that gave NE two TD's.

And 1 penalty against NE? 1? Really? C'moooonnnnnn

Well, the way I see it is this is a situation of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I can't stand the Eagles, but I can't stomach the thought of the Pats being handed another trophy. I just can't. I know it's sort of treason for a Cowboys fan, but it's more of a gasp for the NFL to not be fixed. I'd rather most of my family and friends (most of them are Eagles fans) celebrate than see the NFL further destroy itself. Until the Cowboys get into a Super Bowl or unless the Pats miss one, this may be the last Super Bowl I watch if the Pats win.

It's not just if they win, if the refs give it to them again.

Make no mistake, if my team just straight up loses, I won't like it but I'll deal w/ it. However, when they're handed the game, I'm out.

Exactly, and it's the state I'm at with the NFL. Like, if the Pats win fair and square, okay, they were better. But, if YET AGAIN, they get gifted it which they have for the last 2 championships at least, then that's it. If I wanted to watch something that's rigged, I'll watch the NBA or WWE.

Sidenote, I want an investigation into the league. Might I remind people how badly FIFA got smoked for rigging games and corruption? Yet, the "fixing" wasn't even CLOSE to as obvious as what the NFL's doing. It's out in the open and BLATANT! Bills players pointed it out. ROMO pointed out the rigging for the Pats against the Titans. ROMO again today on a few occasions. Boomer Esiason today highlighted it (https://sports.yahoo.com/boomer-esiason-jaguars-penalties-gillette-stadium-flags-come-221313377.html). I think anyone that's watching it knows deep down what's going on. If you want to argue it not being a rigged sport, search your feelings. You know it to be true. Tell me how the Patriots only get ONE penalty on the most COMMON penalty play in sports! Tell me how the refs see ZERO hold calls on the Pats despite calling the Jags on a number of plays. Not to mention that the Pats BLATANTLY held on a number of occasions. Then, factor in the fact that EVERY TIME Brady's playing, a team will go into coverage. They will STOP doing what works seemingly INEXPLICABLY. The Jags played a PERFECT first half, and then suddenly STOPPED DOING EVERYTHING THAT WORKED! They THREW most of the second half. Things you DON'T do when you have the lead. Thus, especially if the Pats are gifted another Super Bowl, the NFL needs to be investigated on the levels that FIFA was investigated. I get that the Pats are a great team, but they should NOT need the game rigging if they're as good as they are. Are they great? Then treat them like EVERY other team is treated. And if rings matter, then why do WE get screwed more than most teams?

Ware and Von Miller and company proved that was how you beat Brady. Its how the Giants beat Brady in those two SBs; pressure constantly. Brady is not a god; you get pressure in his face and he becomes just another QB under pressure.

The conspiracy theories are dumb, but the truth is that the level of NFL coaching now is mostly trash. You had a half dozen future Hall of Famers actively coaching in the 80s and 90s at various points. From 2001+ it's just Belichick and people chumped by Belichick. Or holdovers from previous eras like Coughlin and Parcells.

At least Atlanta had the excuse that their defense went into soft zones because they were gassed after playing so many more snaps on defense than the Patriots. The Jags won time of possession and still did it anyway. They also kept running the only play that the Pats D consistently stopped: running straight into the fat rolls of their DTs on 1st down.

Are they? Explain the huge discrepancy in penalties. Explain why a D that had a total of 5 PI penalties called against them suddenly has 2 at key moments in 1 game. Explain why NE was not being called for both holding, and a PI that was so blatant it was a tackle. Explain why, in a game as big as this one, the refs took a hand and swayed the game.

Once again, I'm not a conspiracy theorist. Not by any means. However, one would have to be awfully blind to not think something is going on.

The Jax D had a total of 9 penalties called on them all year. But, suddenly they call enough to sway the game toward NE?
Something is foul in the state of Denmark. And I mean, it stinks badly.

Probably very stupid comparison but at the end of the game the jaguars' D looked like Cowboys D, 4 men front and everyone else at coverage.

How about kneeling on the ball with about 50 seconds to go and 2 timeouts from the 25yd line? Moving the ball all half on them and Lambo is money. All they needed was about 35yds to get into range. Heck, they might have messed around and scored a TD. You are big road dogs in the title game and have a lead. Go out there and get points and you get the ball to start the 2nd half. That was some serious weak stuff right there. And it set the tone for the rest of the game. You play scared, especially against Brady, you will lose.
