ABC and TNT pulled out of Thursday Night Package bidding

CBS and NBC bid less than last 2 years because they are losing money

FOX may increase bid and take losses to increase exposure for brand

NFCCG was down 12%..............didn't see official AFCCG numbers but they were reported to be pretty strong

the jags pats was the highest rated game since last years super bowl.

it peaked at 30.2 i think in dfw yesterday.

You get premier advertisers paying premium $, Football still has the most watched TV audiences, you don't need as many 30 second ads, Brand X presents SNF, and if 1 advertiser drops out more will want to fill the hole.

Then there is London, there 1 main reason why the NFL wants a team in London and that is $, £ & e this will open further revenue streams from advertisers not only in the UK but Europe and it will be further $$ in the coffers.
keep on believing in pie in the sky as well. you ignored the advertising situation. Do a little research there

I would advise the same to you, but I suggest you pay closer to attention to those that really know, rather than those that make the most noise on social media.

The NFL’s ratings may be down, but that isn’t stopping FOX from aggressively pursuing the rights to Thursday Night Football. According to Sports Business Daily, three networks submitted bids for TNF – CBS, NBC and FOX.

I watch football for the game..NOT for political statements by any player or group of players. If players want a platform to toss out their personal opinions, let them use twitter. Networks focusing in on all the political hoopla did it for me this season....I only watched Cowboys games..whereas I would normally have at least had some others on as background noise...
This fan mass exodus should be a good thing for Fans of the game..the League will take a hard look at itself and maybe cut the self mandated elitist attitudes that alienate so many..."The Emperors New Clothes" comes to mind......Nah, never happen.

it always amuses me when someone here comes in claiming to be an expert. They are always full of hot air. Common sense and a little research destroys your argument but you would never admit it.

Of the 2 of us you seem to profess to know more, yet the recent report is clearly showing that Fox are prepared to pay more than the current $450m rights for TNF.

What does this tell you ?

I've tuned in to some degree, after only watching a handful of non-Cowboys games during the season
I'll watch the Super Bowl

I have a lot of friends and acquaintances who dialed out completely this year.
They cut the NFL cord but not the football cord.
To each his own, I guess.

The NFL deserve this...what kind of sport suspends one it’s star player for 6 games based on nothing...

And yes, Jones is responsible for Goodell as much as any owner...

Would the players union stand for such an injustice if your claim were true? No I think not :(

Easy. A player's union that only cares about easier practices and a bigger cut of the pie.
