I see the same arguments for Allen that were made for Connor Cook.

People ignored the fact that Cook was not a 60% passer in college and rarely do those guys suddenly get more accurate in the pros.

I wouldn't touch Allen if I were a team in the Top 5.

Allen has the things people over-rate constantly.

When a QB struggles to have a decent completion percentage in college, then goes out on the radio and says "stats are for losers" and bemoans the number of players that his offense lost in the previous draft to excuse his lack of production, I have a problem with that. Especially at the top of the draft.

He is a good option for a mid-to-late first, trade up type for a team that can afford to gamble with a first round pick. The Bills would be a perfect candidate with two picks back to back.

I just see him being that kind of QB that gets overdrafted by some needy team at the top based off of athleticism and how he looks on the hoof, forgetting how important intangibles and accuracy are for a QB to be successful in the league.
Can't disagree but Josh Allen would be a top 1-2 pick if he had a completion % of 65.

I am fine taking a risk here as we have so many picks and a QB should Allen be a bust.

If you take Allen and expect him to walk in as a starter that's a huge risk but if you say he's QB2/QB3 you just may find he's a Dak type value.

If any of you are serious about scouting the talent, the practices are a must watch and far more important than the game itself.

They are currently live on NFL Network. With a replay at 4PM EST and a recap show at 8PM EST tonight on NFLN.

Is there an option I can choose that allows me to see the Tweets directly on this forum without having to click away?

There's like a 99% chance I'm going to throw a temper tantrum if they don't take a QB in the first round.

I respect this opinion but i'll gamble on these types of players.

Just like someone will gamble on Baker Mayfield I think this guy is a better gamble then Mayfield.

Give me the 6'4 athletic QB that can throw rockets all day. I may get Kyle Boller and I may not.

I wonder what kind of work ethic Allen has?

Throwing rockets doesn’t help when it misses entire oceans.

Thought this was telling:

"Size was never a concern for Allen, though; scouts are more focused on a lackluster season for the (Wyoming) Cowboys and a schedule that rarely pitted him against a Power Five conference foe. He threw eight interceptions and only one TD pass in three career games against Power Five competition."

1 TD, 8 INTs versus Power Five level competition. Now, obviously Wyoming is not a football powerhouse, but it would have been nice to see Allen raise his level of play.

Right now he's all projection and little substance.

Have we gotten measurements on Baker Mayfield yet? His skipping out of the weigh-in was equally disappointing and completely predictable.

While its easy to assume whatever you want, what I read is his mom went into the hospital yesterday morning. He'll eventually get measured at the combine so missing weigh ins doesnt seem that important, to me at least.

Why skipthe weigh-in though? I don’t see any benefit or negative in doing that

He doesn't have the physical stature and he'll likely measure much shorter than his listed 6'-1". In fairness to him, I'm sure he just wants his play on the field to be the talk, not his weigh-in measurables.
