IMO, being completely inept isn't as painful as what we've experienced for most of the last 20 years. Obtaining the #1 seed only to go one and done, having an elite QB and pissing away opportunity after opportunity.

Give me awful with a chance to get high draft picks and no real expectations over crushing defeats and hopes dashed.

If you're talking about the 1989 team, at least 3 years later they were in the Super Bowl. At least that's movement. Feels like we've been in neutral for the past 10 years - we have a great regular season every once in a while but then follow that up with a divisional round loss

Watching these two teams combine for over 1,000 yards tonight, tells me that a great defense would have defeated either team IMO. There were no sacks until the end of the freakin game!

We have to keep building a great defense and that defense, will shut down any QB from throwing 300 (Foles 373) much less 500 yards (Brady 505) a game.

Foles averaged 8.7 yards a throw and Brady 10.5 yards a throw....talk about pathetic pass defense!

Not to mention, both teams averaged over 5 yards a carry in rushing as well.

DEFENSE!

Garrett has the impressive achievement of being OC then HC on a one and done #1 seed, 13 win team. That has to be a record.

I could feel real improvement in 1990 and going into 1991, I was excited about the future.
