Is 2018 a Super Bowl Year for the Cowboys or a rebuilding year?

A cohesive, young team, despite its leader, could do it. Garrett is not monumentally bad, louts, just mediocre.
It could happen in 2019.
I'm sorry, but you are dead a** wrong here, clappy carrot is about as dumb as a porch rug and I'll tell you why.
Last season should have been OUR defend the SB title year, instead it was more of the same from the clapping carrot and his vanilla queen OC. These 2 morons thought they could simply play keep away like they did 16 and we would march out onto the MN SB field. Well, DUH teams watched film, now that they had film to watch. And like REAL coaches and owners and GM's and Fo's they came to the conclusion, clappy carrot is a moron, a simpleton if you will, and so drew up two schemes to use, 1) they would watch and see the formations put out by clappy and his queen, and then have the option IF clappy was SO brilliant and grand a HC as to "change" it up, to use their 2nd option of scheme. Well as it turns out clappy carrot and his queen DID NOT change a damn thing, LOL oh man you just can't make this $hit up hea. Teams were like telling themselves "you have got to be kidding me" all the while using that 1st option....STACK the box, and take away Dak's reads, as they saw it clappy not only was running the same ole, tired a$$scheme, but the same old tired *** formations. Well, low and behold, we lose Zeke 6 games, the great clappy and his vanilla queen OC had "High hopes" Chaz green was going to be "that' player( which it turns out he wasn't even close" so a pass rush off the blind side, not even a stacked box, cuz well NO ZEKE, so take away Bezz, man on our #2 wide out, and double Dez, which they soon learned no need for that, Dez was a chump last season and ny CB could cover him enough, due to the fact he was running the same old, tired *** routes that they had seen on film for the last 8+ years. The final fold on clappies dunce cap was........ NO, NOT A ONE, NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT of adjustments. Not at the start after losing, losing, losing, not in the middle after going behind, behind, behind.
Bottom line on clappy, the dude is a true, died in the wool moron.Hell, we all like to think we can fly a space shuttle, but that ain't happening! And neither is the clapping carrot.

Well, actually you finished 8-8 last year. The Eagles gifted you your last win. So after going 13-3 and then 8-8, that wouldn't prompt you to rebuild? It should. That type of swing tells me that you're closer to an 8-8 type than a 13-3 type of team. Go ahead, make the suspension/injury excuse, lol. The Eagles faced more adversity and won it all in spite of. There's an old saying some of you may want to remember; Excuses don't explain, and explanations don't excuse. All that matters is the bottom line.
What I know is this, until there's a shift in priorities in Dallas you will fail. Not one important weapon on offense comes close to seeing FA but the one defensive stud you have can't get a long term deal? He should have been locked up during the month of December. Does your FO and coaching staffs not think defense is important? Maybe Jerry feels that defensive players doesn't sell as many jerseys as offensive players. Great way to set your priorities.....

You don't take away a win or a loss. Eagirls didn't gift wrap anything. I don't care what we did last year. If you went into last year thinking you are a contender you should feel the same way. I'm not with this defeatist loser attitude you guys have. You guys will say it's being a realist....whatever. The league is wide open and anything can happen.

We’re not rebuilding because we’re only another 1-2 seasons away from winning the SB.

Please respect The Process, thank you.

exactly plus in the NFL with a hard cap , injury, bloated salaries, and Free agency, Most teams are always in flux so its a soft rebuilding around your core..The NE patriots hardly look like the same team year to year..the eagle have a lot of one year deals they did last year and i believe they will not look the same this year..

look at the rams they are getting rid of Quinn and Tjohnson two stars on a defense that will definitely be weakened by the loss but they want to sign Donald , that big loss from a playoff team..Wade about to get his famous slide he goes through and maybe not his fault, they are just getting rid of two of his best players..

we didn't make the playoffs last year simply because of lots of key injurys , suspensions, surprise retirement and cuts.. we were two games out after what most fans call a terrible season..i believe we are a 10-11 win team with this core its the uncontrollable things that determine whether you go 8-8 or 11-5 yes parody at its finest fine line from the 7 spot missing the layoffs and the 5/6 spots.

we will always be changing rebuilding is not the right word.. with Romo/Murray Gone in steps Dak/Zeke , we lost 18 players last year from 2016 and still barely missed the playoffs..thats ton of change but still remained competitive even with all the challenges..now Witten. scandrick, and possibly Dez some of the last of the remaining players that have been around more than 5/7 years.

its natural way of life in the NFL and with the exception of NE , its the reason theres a lot of change of whos makes it to the last game of the year..

Exactly. I'm not saying we will win a title next year. All I'm saying is don't feed me any crap about rebuilding in the National Football League. There's no such thing. And this team is the furthest from a rebuild.

We aren't rebuilding because it's the National Football League. Get rid of Tyron and Sean Lee's contracts, get rid of Dez and Witten and get rid of the coaching staff.....then I will believe it's s rebuilding year. You can't trout Jason's Witten out there and scream you are rebuilding.

We'll make the playoffs, maybe a wildcard spot. Then, we'll lose the game because our coaching staff can't manage the clock, the playbook or any game time decision like every play off game JG has been a part of. Then the following season we'll collapse. Why not keep everything the way it's been for 7 seasons and continue the roller-coaster?

Actually i dont see Playoffs. Terrible tough schedule with the Superbowl Champ, a healthy, high picking new coached Giants, and an always tough Skins Team in the Division.

Rest of the Schedule is pretty brutal too. I dont see more than 8-8.

If this is a rebuild, then they should have blown out the entire coaching staff.

Having said that, any fan that wants to call this a rebuilding year or a growing year is a fool and likely just struggling to set high expectations for the team because they likely know they will be let down.

There isn't any rationale analysis that should lead one to believe that a team with the head coach on his 8th season, both coordinators back, a stacked OL, a TB in his prime, a $17MM defensive end, etc. is a rebuilding team.

So you’re saying you guys have a 1/32th chance of winning it all? I hope you don’t plan your retirement with the “anything can happen” mindset. If so I have a great refrigerator size box you can call home soon enough....

Define "rebuild".

Are you talking about a new coaching staff? Or are you talking about totally gutting the team?

PS - Your commentary on Lawrence is typical Eagles' fan thinking, just on steroids after winning a SB. In Eagles' fans eyes, the Cowboys would never win with Lawrence. If they signed him to a longer term deal, you guys would be crowing at how dumb the Cowboys are for paying a guy who had one great year a top contract. If they tagged him, you'd laugh saying how couldn't you sign him long term.

I don't know what the odds are. And my retirement is much different than what I think a National Football League team will do next season. I'm confused....you're a EAgirl fan......this is a Cowboys board....we aren't playing this week....why are you here?
