Everyone's bringing up Dez's contract

What about Ty Crawford? He's the most overpaid person in cowboys history.
At least Carr had good games against good corners. He was overpaid, but he was solid. Crawford's play is worth 2 million a year. He's getting 9. Cut him first!!!

His pay is just about in line with his contributions. Yes he was overpaid at the beginning of his deal. Not so much any more. He would actually get a raise if the Cowboys cut him and he went to a different team.

The most overpaid person in Cowboys history is Deion Sanders.

He is getting paid 6M. The 9M is cap hit, not what he is getting paid.

Crawford was 2nd on Bob Sturms list of splash plays made over the past 3 years.

He is a leader and excellent lockerroom guy.

Dez is a distraction and has many conflicts with teammates and coaches. Dez averages 14M per year.

T Crawford has never come close to a pro bowl. Dez had 3 pro bowl seasons. In 2016, he was unstoppable at the end of the year. he played bad in 2017, but dont act like he's 3 years or more away from elite. Dak is a big reason his production is down. Dak has Mcnabb like accuracy. If Dez played with Rodgers, he'd be an all pro. So what he doesn't get great separation. Fitz never separated a lot. Mike never separated a bunch. He had Aikman , arguable the most accurate passer of all time.
A great QB maximizes your skill set. he's a big physical receiver. Throw more accurately so def can catch it and break tackles. He's at his best with the ball in his hands. 5 more accurate throws would've changed the perception of Dez. He dropped passes, but he was also open a bunch of times and the ball wasn't accurate. It's not all on Dez.
The only receiver in history who produced the same regardless of the qb was Randy.

Dez is tied at 9th for average pay per season.
Crawford is at 14th.

Considering neither made the Pro Bowl last year, I'd say both are over paid at this time.

It's not like basketball, with only 5 players on the field at at time, each has to depend on 10 other players to "do their jobs", without that, being an individually outstanding player is difficult. Either, or both, could have a Pro Bowl season this year (if they're still on the team of course) if their teammates play better, the play calling is better, and so on....

Fans in another thread were mocking TCrawford for getting twice as many snaps as D Irving and here you are calling him rotational

Did anyone think that Irving plays most of his snaps on passing downs and TCrawford plays most his on base packages?

TCrawford's pay HAS NEVER been a problem..... at most he is overpaid by 1-2m but blame that on Cam Heyward of PITT getting his deal right before TCrawford became free....6yrs/46m is the going rate

He has a base salary of 6m this year.....that is it

Knowledgable fans know that TCraw's cap hit is a little higher than his contributions, but not by much.

Wears multiple hats on our defense and is one of mlst consistent players. If he would take maybe a $1.5M-2M paycut I dont think anyone would complain about hos contract.
