Romo was left to the wolves for years, and now Dak is being glorified as something he won't be for years, if ever.

I see it as both QBs are treated the exact same, just from different people. Romo haters became Dak lovers, Romo lovers became Dak haters...with some exceptions.

I don't think there is such a thing as a Dak lover. But Romo lovers did become Dak haters. That's quite clear. They popped up the minute he stepped on the field.

Perhaps, but I don't see it that way. I don't know how anyone can't root for both.

Just because I'm pessimistic about Dak right now after last year's performance doesn't mean I don't want him to develop into a real franchise quarterback. If he doesn't, we're YEARS away from having a franchise QB most likely, so that would be awful.

I love him just like I loved Romo while he was playing. I think he sucks at times but the dude tries hard, has a good head, is a good leader, etc. Now he needs to win something or we need to move on to the next QB. And if he doesn't win, I'm not going to spend time claiming he didn't have a chance because his defense gave up 34 points against GB. He had ball in hand with opportunity to win the game and only got a FG. Go win the game!

Just those 2 alone make me want to throw up. Romo was the field goal holder since 2004. So he had 3 years of experience being a holder so when people say that's not a QB's job that was HIS job for 3 years.

And the Arizona game you can blame Garrett for when he decided to be the first in history to ice his own kicker that lead us to missing the playoffs.

People say that because its true. Starting QB's are never the holders because of the fear of injury.

Important to note Romo playing in his first season, starting a playoff game in the most difficult road environment in the nfl vs the defending NFC champions led a 4th qtr minute drill which should have won the game. Guys like you are stuck on the fg botch. There were a ton of mistakes that game. I still don't understand to this day how they overturned witten's first down after it was called on the field a first down. it was pretty impossible to tell on the replays how they decided to move the ball back. If they didn't Dallas punches it in there and off to Chicago they go.. They matched up perfectly with Chicago.

The fun thing about that Arizona game in 2011 is Romo got his Rear ended handed to him that day. Playing with a serious rib injury and a flak jacket He got hit all day. All day. he got sacked by his face mask early in the fourth quarter as clear as can be an no call! It was nuts. After all that He led a brilliant 2 minute drive spiking the ball to setup the GW field goal. Bailey missed.....a week later at home to the giants the defense had a 34-22 lead with five minutes to and had them 3rd and 1 an blew the lead. down 37-34 under a minute and one timeout romo led them right down the field again and to setup the fg to tie....bailey made it but coughlin called timeout....next snap JPP blocked it.

Well....Romo got 10 years to prove he can win and he only got 2 playoff wins and one 1st round bye. Dak's got some ways to go. Hopefully its upward this year.

Yeah I never understood that. People gave Romo a pass for fumbling the snap. How can you give a excuse for that? It shouldn't have happened. I give him credit for almost getting it in the endzone and being aware enough to do that......but you can't erase what he did because it wasn't at QB.

Anytime you have a team that can make the playoffs there's a chance they go further. We lost to Seattle by one point, Seattle lost to Chicago the next round by 3 points, and they slaughtered the Saints 39 to 14 to go to the SB. There was an opportunity and that bobbled FG snap killed it in a second.

Lol at all u experts saying he drifted. If you look at the play closely you can see Escobar got chucked which threw him off his route. Romo was a good QB but chokes at the wrong time. Romo = A better Danny White IMHO

Romo’s two biggest faults were impulse throws which even admitted got him into trouble and decision making. Much like with Brett Favre he was always looking for the big play which led to a lot of great plays and a lot of bad plays.
