id say its not been a failure and it may not be a "success" in what many fans want to see, but to the plan this FO has, it has been well executed. We are not ever going to sign big name guys but we will sign fringe starters or solid depth guys for reasonable amounts....we have done that and still have some work to do.
The biggest thing is we havent really done anything bad with a contract that is going to hamstring us going forward and we have opened up our flexibility in the draft a bit. LB is still a pretty big gaping hole but overall pretty solid execution of the cowboys plan in FA....whether you agree with their plan is a different story but they are doing the right things to be successful the way they are building the team.

I just seen an alert where the Jets rescinded their offer to Suh.
Has nothing to do with what you are saying, which I tend to agree with. But teams do the same thing sometimes as to backing out of verbal deals. However, I have no idea what they rescinded the deal.

On a certain website that does not want Cowboys Zone to link to it's articles, I have read the plan is to have Cam Fleming, Marcus Martin, and Joe Looney all signed by tomorrow.

Well are you 100% sure if this. Why make such a statement. You are not anymore correct than if someone says...he is signing here for sure.

yeah, literally was in the car 30 mins ago and it was the 2 minute drill update...they said he had signed, not "was going to " sign....i assume that means its done

It's never 100% sure until the ink has dried and even then we've been left at the alter. We'd never speculate on anything if we needed to be 100% sure. The draft board should be closed. On this topic, I hope you're right, only because we need the bodies, and maybe the Witten restructure had to happen first. But when an announcement says we're about to sign someone, then a full 2 days later it hasn't happened, the track record says we've been played.

You can sign a contract on a weekend. When dealing with a Cheatriots FA we should get him signed as soon as possible. Belicheat may pull his hoody over his head and do something nefarious!!
