Well, listening to some Cowboys fans *****ing and moaning 24/7 on this forum....who’s to say they deserve any better results?
Can you blame the ones that have been through the last 20 seasons vs the previous 20? Spoiled? Absolutely, but you can't just serve them lemonade for so long and then just throw them a dried out lemon rind.

And what about the ones that are all optimistic and positive? What do they deserve for renewing their faith every season?

I see why Dallas could be a 7-9 team. We found out slowly but surely last season that this team ain't **** without zeke. The bad coaching also doesn't help matters.

If zeke goes down the cowboys are done plain and simple. We don't know that he will last a whole season and that's pending injury, another suspension etc.

Don't sit up here and talk that jazz as if you guys know for sure Dallas will keep it rolling if their main guy is missing in action.

Why should I think any different with the same coaches and Dallas probable plans to lean on zeke yet again with no backup plan if disaster strikes?

YES, dispite what happened 2 years ago and last season, Dallas still has the potential to be a 7-9 team or worse until proven otherwise.

"Could be", and "are" aren't the same thing though. Any team "could be" under the right set of circumstances, and it doesn't make sense to judge a team based on circumstances that we don't know will occur. All we can do is judge based on what we know to be the current circumstances.

7-9? You have that reversed. It was 9-7 and with a little luck 10-6. Remember the Switzer fumble that reversed the fortunes of the game against the rams? The T Will flub and pick 6 against the Pack? Heck, those two plays don't happen and it could have been 11-5. Gotta look on the bright side guy. Or keep looking at the dark side. Whatever floats your boat

While Pro sports are down the colleges are doing well for them.

TCU and SMU were both in the NCAA tournament . A rare occurrence.

TCU football has been good in recent years. They have a huge game at Jerryworld this fall against Ohio State I’m attending.

Go Buckeyes! :D

I can't relate in many ways because I'm a Houstonian that is a Cowboys fan. The only team I'm a more diehard fan of than the Cowboys, is the Astros. My basketball team is the Rockets, but basketball is a very distant 3rd favorite sport after baseball and football. So, I'm loving the Astros and Rockets rise to the top of their sports.

Your analysis of the Cowboys is far off IMO though. I think barring catastrophic injuries we are at least a 10 win team. With a great defensive draft I think we still have a shot at getting the division from the Eagles.

When the cowboys prove to me they can get these players coached and rolling when the zekes and Sean Lee's go down then I will believe different.

You guys can't accept that the cowboys are who they are, that's some of you fans problem.

I’ve never understood this need for positivity to be a faithful fan.

I’m gonna root on my local team whether they suk or not. It does make it more fun to win.

It's tough...very tough right now, especially since all the rivals are dominating. And it won't get any better anytime soon. If the Texans ever win a Super Bowl, a lot of fans in the state who were Cowboys fans will switch to being Texans fans and that will be Jerry's worst nightmare, much worse than the Eagles winning it this year.

Whether people want to believe it or not, the Cowboys are in re-building mode. Just look at last years roster - 39 players 25 years of age or younger. Some of that was sort of forced on them with Romo's injuries, and his time with the team was likely waning anyway just due to age, so when Dak did well in 2016, it was like "hey, we might have a quarterback/running back due that can carry us far, let's re-build under Dak".

Of course you have to have a plan to replace aging players, or to change direction to a running-based team, etc. So some of that might have been long term planning anyway.

But we've seen teams recently go from poor to pretty good pretty quickly, it can happen to the Cowboys also.

Gotta keep the faith, otherwise might as well quit rooting for the Cowboys...

Everyone has an opportunity to pass us up as long as Jerry is in control.

Wagon fans are always going to hop off and on. Our success has been attracting wagon fans for 0ver 50 years.

The Texans now have a strong footprint in San Antonio and Austin among the younger crowd. Jerry can kiss that goodbye.

Brown fans don’t need faith to keep rooting their team on.

Saint fans had bags over their heads for 40 years.

Only wagon or casual fans need success to follow. Old Diehards and Locals complain all the way to the bank.

They might be gaining ground but San Antonio is still #2 Cowboy market and Austin is a predominantly college town with the Longhorns.

I’m in Austin regularly and still see much more of a Cowboy presence than Texans.

And the Cowboys are the biggest embarrassment of all. Something has to give.
