Witten is what he is at this point. Reliable third down target but not a game changer and probably the slowest player in the league. Need to draft his replacement in Mark Andrews this year.

As far as witten, he is slowing down and I believe it would be unfair to aid witten at the expense of zeke. What Dallas needs to do is get faster at the position to create another weapon.

I don't see the benefit of babysitting anyone else in this offense. Witten has to pull his own or cut, and I don't believe he can.

He is no more than an emotionally invested player now.

For what you are asking, I'd worry about zeke if they went that route though.

Witten won't be cut, they would ask him to retire or take a seriously lesser role, maybe they did that already. This Cowboy's team needs a 2nd TE before picking up a WR.

We've already started. Get some better receivers around him who run sharp routes and/or have some speed to stretch the field. The middle of the field has been crowded because our WR's have been not so good.

I think the opposite is also true, if the TE had more speed the WR's would get open quicker.
