So in 2011 a new era of Cowboys football started?

2011.....no playoffs
2012.....no playoffs
2013.....no playoffs
2014.....Wildcard Win over Detroit (Romo QB)
2015.....no playoffs
2016.....lost first playoff game (Dak QB)
2017.....no playoffs

So lets recap this "new era" of Cowboys football, shall we.

I count 7 seasons.......missed playoffs 5 times......2 trips to playoffs, Romo beat Lions, Dak lost to Pack

So the only thing we have to show for this new Cowboys era the past 7 years is a single Wildcard Win by Romo?

Gotta win consistently, not every other year.
We have back to back winning seasons. Sure it didn't end in the playoffs but with all the distractions, suspensions and injuries we were still in the hunt and missed out by 1 game. I however agree we need to see another winning season and win in the playoffs now.

Can't honestly count last season as a winning season.

Loved the 2016 season but that was probably the easiest schedule dallas has had in 10 years.

Here goes the Dallas media trying to defend this front office once again as they always do, because they have control over the media. It's almost state media at this point.. Sad, what happen to freedom of the press.

I like what I have seen so far. Now get an assistant head coach whose responsibility is game day management and just let Garrett absorb information during the game to process the followIng week.

FYI I gave you a like because I agreed with your statement, but I do not like the results obtained by the FO...The buck stops there and they have failed. Knowing it's not going to change all we can do is hope they get better.

Results still matter.

While we can claim we’ve seen some better personnel decisions in draft and managing the Cap we’ve continued to see some high risks especially in 2nd round and with problem type players which still has Jerry’s thumbprint.

The bar has been lowered this era under Jerry regardless if he’s delegated some responsibility. Until this franchise returns to championship caliber it’s going to be heavily criticized with Jerry still officially as GM.

So, in 2011 an era STARTED. That is with cap accountability and player acquisition...bam, an All Pro. OL Smith...

Now, you tell us all, what players were added and when from there...that was provided as well, as the offensive line was coming back to life.

But Tony Romo was injured more than a single season...and until Dak was drafted, just who was leading the Cowboy's team in Romo's absence. I guess you think that also wasn't relevant...as late as 2015?

So, the team started to change in 2011, as to players on roster...and from 2014, it started to change as to team play and success.

The Cowboys WOULD have been in the NFC Championship if not for the Dez rule, that has been reversed NOW, and Dez's catch ruled now, a catch. That WOULD have put the Cowboys in the NFC Championship game, the further development of play at the playoff level for this team.

According to a snapshot with agenda, that just isn't relevant as well.

2016, the defense was on the wrong side of development, but lost to Green Bay in the final few seconds, but 3. Just keep in the presented text above...that was lame and just piss poor.

Guess what, last season, the team played without one of the league's MVP candidates, Elliott, for six games...consecutively. But here again as stated above, just doesn't matter. Get into the real world and quit with the stereotypes all connected to a prepi's set of agendas.

Since 2014, Dallas has won at a level of 71%, when their starting quarterback was available. The Cowboys won just slightly less than New England! Ever hear of them?

As to a comparison between the Cowboys and the Patriots, tell me who does the better job at fixing their respective linebackers group, and I'll tell you who has the better team for 2018! Just tell me following next week's draft. You don't have to wait long to know...

Take the cop out of playoff wins and grab a mirror...now have fun.

Easy? How about Philadelphia last season...? That is part of the NFL scheduling thing...but each season has different levels of difficulty that just doesn't show when abstractly stating 'difficulty' of schedule. Don't kid one's self, the Cowboys didn't face a boat load of push overs ANY season.

Not impressed yet......Zeke was a great/risky pick that is working out on the field....yet he was questioned about conditioning this past season. Dak was a break that worked ok.....except 2nd year to point at Dez though complete WR corp stats dropped. Nothing on D stands out, except the young DBs, but we say Anthony Brown drop rapidly in production in year 2. Taco = 1 sack. Guess, we shall see soon.

Just give this fan a pair of good 'rook' linebackers...not just fan favorites.

It's a good start to pick better players. Need better leadership from coaches and game plans. The clock is ticking.

How will this play out?

I’ve tried to convince myself that viable DT choices are available later, but the talent drops off considerably from 19 to 50, especially when it comes to a 1-tech who can be a difference maker.

In the end, it’s all about trusting my board and Vea is the top dog. If I’m Will McClay and Vea is gone by 19, I’d expect to hear some compelling arguments made from Scott Linehan and Sanjay Lal about how they see this WR class. If they feel good about waiting, then I’d give Rod Marinelli another star-caliber pass rusher to have at his disposal.
