Why didn't the Cowboys trade up for Edmunds? Much better prospect than Vander Esch and moving up 3 spots wouldn't cost that much.
exactly AND from the looks of it the trade values were actually steeper than expected ..just going up 2-3 spots looked outrageous..I was hoping theyd go get james but SD was going to trade so we would have to go higher..people keep saying he was only two spots no he wasn't it would have taken going up to where you had a trade partner other than SD..You know it takes two to trade, right?

Maybe we liked LVE better.
I'm convinced about 50% of this board is actually not aware of this fact. You know it takes two to trade, right?

a 3rd and 4th it would have been more..real simple. It would have cost us a 3rd rd pick and this year you can get a sure starter in the 3rd rd.
I suspect we just aren’t very good at trades and with a Stephen in charge, they low ball trade offers.
They horde mid round picks like they are gold.
The Bills traded up with the Ravens from #22 for a third. They were willing to make a deal.
Hmmm...3 spots. Frustrating isn’t it? Thanks week 17 win.
Edmunds biggest knock is his questionable instincts. Many feel they will get better with experience cause he's so young, but if you have average instincts, doesn't matter how athletic you are. Think Bruce Carter. I believe the Cowboys had LVE rated ahead of him.
If we were going to trade for Earl Thomas, why not for Erwin James? That would have made more sense. Now we get a soon to be often injuried linebacker
