In this case the officer could have just been gathering information, it could be innocent. The vast majority of LE isn't looking to set anyone up.

But that said, if you can afford counsel don't say anything beyond "hello" without counsel present.

It's not at all about setting someone up - or cops looking to railroad someone.

They are only gathering information to determine if they can charge with a crime. Talking isn't going to help you out if you are innocent - and it certainly won't if you are guilty. Best to keep your mouth shut.
