So should Dak be sitting on his *** and not attempting to improve an area he has struggled in?
Just responding to the logic presented.

Dak will work his tail off. We know that. Hopefully, it all comes together, and we get to live season after season of contention football.

It's entirely up in the air right now.

He will eventually get there. Practice practice practice.

I've read that you can't teach arm talent/ accuracy, you can improve it somewhat, but you can't take an inaccurate QB and make him accurate. I don't know if accuracy is even a problem for Dak though, sometimes it looks like the real problem is reading the defenses too slowly and missing the "windows" or being forced to rush a pass because he's held on to the ball too long. Reading the defenses quicker will certainly come with experience and getting a better pocket feel should be able to buy him some extra time too,,, ala Tony Romo.

One of the most interesting comments I've heard about dak from the coaches was how he was under throwing the WR in camp starting out with the deep ball.

Now in camp he is over throwing the WR. What an adjustment!!!

Now the accuracy is starting to fall in place As that arm gains confidence. The best thing is the under throwing is starting to disappear.

When I look at Daks deep now I see a little drew brees. Not saying he will be anything close to brees so don't trash me!

mr Soup--- i am so relieved Dak is beginning to connect more on deep passes...it really concerned me about him...for we need him to be successful on deep throws to keep teams from stacking box on regular basis

Nah man he is adjusting! Pushing the ball further down field is a big improvement.

Funny because fans kept saying dak couldn't throw deep.

He will eventually get there. Practice practice practice.

You guys should stop saying what other people said. You're not good at it.

And please stop trying to hype up comments or single plays from practice or preseason as if they are indicative of a trend. It's just silly.

Nothing (except injuries) matters until Sept. 9.

Better overthrow than underthrow. Receiver gets the ball or incomplete. Probably with some separation.

Good news for Austin and Thompson. Let them run under it.

No, he just really never had a big problem with any of them before. That was all made up nonsense. He has to grow and get better just like any young QB. Anyone that thinks he was a finished product after two years doenst understand the game or the position.

Its funny to hear the Dak hater narrative change all of a sudden.

Previous narrative: Dak isnt a good QB, hes backup material, inaccurate, cant throw the deep ball

New Narrative: 3 weeks ago he wasnt good at these things, but now he practiced and hes good now. LOL

Funny stuff, but expected.

Sure, but in the beginning of TC when the chemistry was lacking, he was just a bad practice QB and couldnt throw the deep ball. Now when things have changed in a few weeks, all of a sudden it doesnt matter?

More funny stuff.

Here's the reality..................Dak NEVER had accuracy problems and could always throw the deep ball. Hes a great leader, smart kid, has tons of talent, and is getting better at his craft. Only going to improve.

I was being 50% sarcastic. I like Dak, and I'm glad he is working on it but overthrows are only very slightly better than under throws.
Hate to break this to you but every QB has a ball that is over thrown or under thrown. Not a single QB in history has been dead on every pass they throw.

Sample size of him accurately connecting with WR on the deep ball is growing. This video being one of the examples.
Not throwing deep and throwing deep and not being able to throw deep are two different things. Dak has always been able to throw deep even going back to his first preseason game. The problem has been either the plays aren't called to go deep or Dak isn't looking to throw deep. Doesn't mean he can't throw a deep ball

True, but we've got guys like Austin who will keep the guys from stacking the box when on the field with zeke.

He will be a BIG part of the offensive attack.

He's putting in work to improve what people say he can't do. I like Dak and i am fine with him at QB. I dont mind his haters because i know Dak feeds off of yall. He hears what people are saying and i know he uses it at motivation. He even said himself. He doesn't care about what good things people say about him. He only focuses on the bad things people say about him. Which is why hes my QB because he will retire with a chip still on his shoulder.

Agreed.

He should have a great season.

Too bad Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel, Chad Hutchinson, Drew Henson, Brooks Bollinger, Stephen McGee, Kellen Moore, Kyle Orton, and a hundred other quarterbacks never practiced football.
