I think Barkley will be the best RB in football. I think Bell is currently the best in football. I think arguing it is useless. It's all opinion. Zeke is really good.
I'd rather have Barkley over Zeke. I'd rather have Zeke over Bell. And I think Bell is currently the best RB in football and I think Zeke is the 2nd best RB in football currently.

Why do you think Bell is better than Zeke?
Do you think its because of Bells receiving stats?

If the Cowboys used Zeke as much as the Steelers used Bell in the passing game he would put up simular stats.

Zeke is already the best pure rusher and best blocking RB in the league.

Barkley is an unknown at this point.

Meh. People constantly bring up total yards but fail to mention how Zeke carries the ball ~5-6 more than almost (possible most) every other RB. Take an avg of 4 YPC (it’s actually more) so thats 24 more yards per game x 16 which is 384 more yards per season which is a ton.

*Edited above based on rough estimates

Also have to factor in the O line, we have one of the best, if not the best. IMO, there’s too many variables to single one of them out, they’re all very good and have similar but different skill sets. I don’t see how anyone can objectively say one is better than the other.

Marcus Dupree was supposed to be the best running back ever.

Last year Dallas had the 4th best ranked O line (according to PFF), Pitt had the 12th best, Jacksonville had the 15th. Take Bell or Fournette, put them behind our O line and give the ball to them several more times per game than almost every other running back and I would expect them to have similar success and yards to Zeke. As I’ve said, way too many variables, just glad we have a great O line and RB because if our O line sucked we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.

Just like Barkley this year, I fully expect him to have less yards than Zeke, Bell and Fournette because even that revamped Giants O line is putrid. That won’t mean he’s not as good or better than any of them. There’s only so much a RB can donwhen there’s nowhere to run which is why he had 39 yards on one play that he had to create on his own and averaged 1 ypc on the others because he was swallowed up. Zeke, Bell, Fournette wouldn’t have fared much better.

I think Barkley will be a bust vs many fans expectations

Can't wait to see Barkley play some real games. Thst easy to west running style will not work consistently in the nfl
Yup and he won’t even be able to run north to south behind that O line.

We can debate the merits of the best RB’s in the league. They all have varied skills they bring to the table.

That being said. Ask yourself this question.

Games on the line, it’s 4th and 1. You need that 1 yard to keep the drive alive and a chance to score. Is there any RB in the league you trust more than Zeke to pick up that yard?

Zeke is lethal in short yardage situations. He gets the tough/dirty yards better than any of the other top RB’s in the league.

I would take Gurley first in that situation than Zeke, but I do like your above message.

I'm curious as to why Barkley is even in this conversation. I'd rather keep it to guys that actually played NFL seasons. Trent Richardson comes to mind.

David Johnson has to be in the conversation.

One man's opinion...close your eyes and pick any one of Zeke, Bell or Johnson. I'm not as high on Gurley but he's not far behind at all.

How did Barkley played tonight...... That's right he can't because he is hurt. Can't even rush 50 yards in preseason without being hurt but yet some think he is better than Zeke.

I can't wait to week 2 when Lee and Jaylon smash this over rated running back....... That is of course if he isn't hurt and can be available for the game.

Wentz and Barkley, the overrated injury team on this board
