you can improve it, but it has to be effective. I can say "lets bring in Adrian Peterson to IMPROVE the RB corp" technically he would. the questions are "is the price tag worth it" "is it the time to do it" If you bring in a big sack master, or a big contract to improve your team but you cant win your goal, you failed twice. You have to pay that contract, you got NOTHING to show for it.

My take it is the TE corp right now, isnt going to swing the difference for the seasons goal. ok if you brought in a young guy and he ll be here for say year 3. I said 3 years to Waving Monkey, i ll stand by that. Bring in a talented TE whos 27, 26 and hes going to be a link that helps you match your goal, PERFECTLY fine. Someone who might not be here in 3 years, i see no purpose to paying him except for the fact to pay him.

OL, RB, WR, TE. Right now, the TEs arent swinging you in either direction. You re going to win or lose not based on them.

He’s a blocking TE. He can catch passes but he is primarily a blocker

That's a dying breed of tight end. Most of them come from college either from a spread or purely CFB level offense where they don't block out of a 3 point stance or they are like Schultz who played in a pro style offense but never was a top 3-5 option on the team.

We'd give a 4th for an average 31 year old tight end that might get cut... but guys on here are adamantly against giving a 3rd rounder for a 29 year old All Pro safety. :huh:

It's difficult with our offence when you have blockers & receivers at TE because you don't want to telegraph by personnel. If you have a known receiving TE that can't block, teams will put a DB on him on treat him like a WR. If you have a strait blocker without receiving skills then teams can cover him with their LBs.

What on earth is this comment based on?

First, Gruden is doing the opposite. He is collecting veteran players, not dumping them.

Second, what younger TE would he be rebuilding with at the position?
