I am a big marvel fan but I have to be honest...That trailer did nothing for me.
I am hoping the movie might be great and this just be a bad trailer but man that looked lame/boring/crappy all rolled into one.

Maybe later trailers will change my mind.

Looks like the movie will be circa 1990's. That would understandably tie some or most of the film with CM's origin but (hopefully) it will also devote enough time referencing the current Avengers Infinity War. Selfishly, I want Marvel to add some insight, even if it is a tiny tidbit, in how the great and powerful intergalactic Kree and Skrulls reacted to Thanos wiping out half their empires' population.

The score was the highlight of that for me. But then I am a little numb to comic book movies and not many stand out. Just change the heroes and villains out and it's too much of the same ole same ole.

I did like Infinity Wars but that makes me wonder when you've got that assortment of heroes, how do they follow that up with just one or two? I thought Black Panther was much ado about nothing, it was just OK.

The storyline's resolution is not that complicated even with the multitude of embedded characters if the films continue their loose reference with the comics. Avengers Infinity War Part 1 is easily one third of the revealed plot. Avengers Infinity War Part 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Part 3 should wrap things up neatly and contextually in my opinion.

You know, I'm a Marvel fan, but Shazam looks like a far more entertaining movie from watching each of their trailers....which is surprising.

Many MANY thanks to @Juggernaut for clueing me in this morning that it was finally out. Folks, get ready for Kree and Skrulls.

Marvel continues to kick butt.

thanks but i am kind of superhero out.
there is something about having too many superheroes in a movie, but it works in a comic book.

Didn't love the trailer, really hoping they get better.

Movie seems to be following very familiar tropes, and even worse, it's tropes that Marvel movies have already covered.

I don't know the plot, but it sure looks like she was a human on earth, somehow ended up getting abducted (maybe she was a test pilot flying something experimental, brainwashed by aliens, fought for aliens against other aliens, somehow ends up regaining her memories, returning/escaping/wrecking back on earth, tries to live like a civilian while she regains her memories, gets recruited to help reveal shapeshifting aliens that have infiltrated earth even though it seems like she may have been doing that vigilante style before getting recruited.

Sounds a lot like Winter Soldier meets Captain America meets Guardian's Peter Quill.

The "I'm not what you think I am." made me groan, I've had enough of the reluctant hero stuff.

Pretty decent breakdown of the trailer, making a number of transparently obvious oonclusions based on the comic book title(s)—especially observations pertaining to Jude Law’s character. The quip about ‘1990’s before the internet’ always makes me smile whenever someone says it, as if the Internet was created in or after that decade.:p

IMO this movie will do well in theaters, but not sure how well it'll be on the must re-watch ranking.
Trailer was ok, but I think enough people have confidence in Marvel to not put out recent DC level bad movies(minus one or two).

Thanks for posting the trailer and breakdown . . . can't wait for the release date.

The breakdown video might not fly on here, the host is wearing her hat backwards.

Ironically, the reluctant hero premise is associated with a number of comic book characters--especially those under the Marvel umbrella.

Definitely makes the trailer seem more substantial.
