Why did we bench Tony Romo for Dak

Was it a power struggle between coaches and Romo or was it really talent difference between Dak and Romo.

Since we are seeing who real Dak is. We lost an opportunity in NFCCG/SB during 2014 season. How come coaches couldn't see what kind of QB we had.

We implies you are part of the Dallas Cowboy organization. Just one of my pet peeves.

To answer your question...who knows. But hindsight makes all of the people here right 100% of the time.

After 11 years of futility, we got tired of Romo saying, in Decemers, "we've got to get better" in post game interviews.
If you slam yo head for a decade, it was time to change.
Cry for Romo.
He does give a golhldurned bit of spit for you.

maybe you don't care about stats but if you think in today's NFL you can consistantly win football game when you QB can't throw for 200 yards (maybe i should say 175) then you don't really understand the game today

It is easy to throw for 200+ yards when you have playmakers at the WR and TE position.

A prime Michael Irvin, T.O., Alvin Harper, Novacek, Witten, etc.. who can consistently get open for large gains; and demand attention of opposing D.

The current Cowboys lack any of those type of players in the receiving game,

And how many times has Romo came out flat for more than a half? Damn dude! Are you Romo’s secret lover or something? You sure leave out all the bad performances Romo had. Typical tho. Very typical.
Dak has had more bad performances in his last 10 games than Romo had his entire career, get back to me when you have a sentient argument

The rest of the leauge gave him alot of latitude not really knowing what he was all about and Dak had no pressure on him his rookie season

I’m not a Dak apologist, but you don’t go 13 and 3 because the rest of the league gives you “a lot of latitude “

Romo did it with guys like Partick Crayton and Laurent Robinson and Sam Hurd and the same guys Dak has had for the past 3 seasons in Dez, Beasley, Williams, and Witten, i know Dak doesn't have Dez and Wit this year but how many around hear blamed those guys for Dak's problems last year? Dez was trouble and Witten only ran 6 yard routes was all i heard around here this offseason

For instance: if Lee misses 8 weeks and LVE is a Rookie of Year candidate, I have no interest in seeing Lee get his job back.

Romo was made of papier-mâché and anyone who thinks he was capable of holding down the position for more than a few weeks at a time are dreaming. We all hoped Dak was our next miracle but he’s just not. Priority #1 is getting a capable QB ASAP.

Jason Garrett stabbed him in the back. He couldn't stand Romo running the show so he saw the opportunity and ran with it. The man couldn't even have the decency to let Tony compete for the job like he wanted to.

It was shameful how the cowboys handled the situation. You got Tony Romo, a man who did all you could for that franchise. Blood sweat and tears. Carrying them to relevance when they had no buisness being relevant,,, and that's how you treat him?
The last min comeback against NY romo had Garrett looks dejected and we won

Ya you do when they don;t really know who you are and you run an offence (scaled back a bit) that was set up for another guy. RGIII was rookie of the year and there are many more examples of guys like him
