And much of that was Romo making players around him better.

Also the year I was referring to wasn't 2007.

Yes, he made “great plays” during the playoffs against the Giants after his vacation in Cabo.

So tell me again how we're supposed to run the ball if the QB can't pass the ball and extend drives? He had 68 yards passing late in the third quarter yesterday. I'll sit back and listen.

You can't run it if you don't try.

Look, this isn't any attempt to absolve the quarterback and passing game of their own struggles. There's no arguing that whatsoever. This is pointing out a coordinator who refuses to adjust to that fact.

The best this offense looked yesterday was when they actually made the effort to use the running back more. The question that needs to be asked is why did it take so long?

The answer is one that many of us have known for quite some time. You've got a pass happy coordinator hired by a pass Happy head coach attempting to coach an offense built for the run. Round pegs and square holes.

No he didn't...

829 yards and 5 touchdowns his first year with the bills, his year with the bengals was much better, but still down from his peak production with romo and even worse than his worst year with romo and that year had 3 games with Brad Johnson...

Football is about more than just one guy. Many factors. Who was the Bills QB? Running back? O-line?

Much more to it than simple stats.

31st ranked offense with the #1 rusher in the league... Wonder what the issue is.
if you look at the yards after games have been out of hand and out of reach, makes this offense actually the worst in the league. 50 yards of Zeke's total yards yesterday came in 4th quarter when we were down 24-6 and they played prevent defense. same with dak, he had 70 yards passing going into the 4th quarter and got a bunch of meaningless yards.... same in Carolina game.

Call the Steelers. Antonio Brown (in addition to Bell) should be available since it is obvious he wants out of Pittsburg.

His receiving yards for the past 5 seasons were in this range: 1,284-1,834.
that's madden fantasy football. why bring bell? is he going to all of a sudden change this offense/ same with brown, outside of him being open by 5 yards, Dak won't throw the ball.

That is not garbage time. We had plenty of time to come back. You might think it was garbage time because you had no faith in Zeke, but this team absolutely still had time to come back.

If we had an actual GM— action would be taken in order to restore confidence and direct positive change.

To maintain status quo at this point is to concede a successful season in 2018. Their plan to make this offense “Dak friendly” has not worked and we are mired in offensive ineptitude.

It is time for responsible action to be taken. Either a change at OC or QB is in order. You cannot maintain this course without losing your locker room and alienating your fan base.

Everyone sees the issues— so a real GM would not put his head in the sand and move forward. Look at the data— and make the next right decision.

In my experience— the next right decision is rarely an easy one. IMO— either Linehan and/or Dak need to be relieved of their duties— regardless of how much Jerry cares/respects them personally.

For the sake of the health of his organization— Jerry needs to fulfill the responsibilities of his role—and do his job.
Dak friendly means we have no confidence in Dak being able to execute an NFL game plan and make NFL throws so we are simplifying it.....and even then, Dak can't execute.

When you're chasing Matt Brieda for the lead, it's indicative of a slow start for running backs.

Or that Breida is off to a great start? He already has 6 runs of 20+ yards and also on pace for nearly 1500 yards.

He is on pace for 1461 yards rushing and 10 rushing touchdowns.... That's not doing well?

I remember hearing how Maliek Collins was also "on pace" for 10 sacks last year after a one game anomaly against Arizona. How did that turn out?

Is "10 rushing touchdown" indicative of Elliott "doing well" to you?

Look, I'm not saying Elliott is producing far better than anyone else on this sorry offense, he certainly is. I'm actually advocating that they call much more plays for him and the running game, and that includes the quarterback. It's the only thing coming close to working right now.

Owens performed very well for two different teams afterwards as well.

Owens year with Buffalo was 55 catches for 829 yards and 5 TDs (50.5% catch rate with 8 drops on 109 targets). That was the year after Romo.

Dez last year was 69 catches for 838 yards and 6 TDs (52.3% catch rate with 10 drops on 132 targets).

Many have said Dez sucked last year. If we are being consistent, what was that year for T.O.? (Not sticking up for Dez or slamming T.O., just pointing out the standard).
