Is Mark Sanchez better than our backups?

Then make him the QB coach. We've already been there with him. Why not try weeden and that other guy...maybe we can dig up Bledsoe.

Bledsoe at age 80 could throw a ball harder than Cooper Rush can right now.

I don’t think Sanchez is a good QB. But the amount of support the front office has put around Dak is laughable. And it’s also laughable that we are one snap away from cooper rush playing the rest of the year.

As bad as Sanchez was. Odds are rush would be just as bad if thrown to the wolves.

...the guy is still FA out there. Our backups didnt leave pre-season on good expectations. I mean both White and Rush played poorly last two games.

Sanchez brings exp to the game. Its not the best, but might fit the glove for our situation.

..give me some honey on this.. ;)
Mark Sanchez might be better than our starter.

Then what was he doing in the games before the
lions. Who knows what they actually do.

What was he doing when he had less than 200 yards passing in 7 of his last 10 games in 2017 when Moore wasn't the QB coach? And, like you say, who among the fans really have a good grasp on what the QB coach is or isn't doing? Blaming the QB coach is a convenient thing to do, but can we really say if he is doing the right things or not? A position coach can't always make something out of a player that isn't playing well, nor can he control the game plan.

So what does his job consist of? Is this something we could do? What does it pay? Forget hydration manager, I am going for QB coach job. :)

He's better in Dak's ear than Kellen More could ever dream of.

Just because you and I aren't privy to the interaction between the QB and QB coach doesn't mean he isn't doing anything. We have no more idea of the interaction between Brady and his QB coach either, and obviously Brady is highly successful. All we know is if the QB played well or not, but even if he doesn't play well, does that automatically mean the QB coach is to blame, and if he does play well does the QB coach get the credit?

I'm sure you saw the discussion over the years about Wade Wilson. There were fans who thought Wilson was horrible despite the fact Romo mostly played very well. He got no credit for that, but if Brandon Weeden or Stephen McGee didn't play well he got the blame. That seems to be par for the course with a QB coach - a convenient scapegoat when the QB doesn't play well, but he has nothing to do with the it when the QB does play well. In the end, fans really don't have a clue how much blame or credit a QB coach deserves.

What makes you say Kellen isn't an actual coach to Dak? I'm not saying Kellen is doing a good job, or that he's not, but do fans really know anything about the interaction between the QB and QB coach? For all we know he was a big help to Dak going into this past game in which Dak clearly played much better.
For all we know, he wasn't.....hmmmm

I've been saying for quite awhile that they should have made Sanchez the new QB Coach. He was the one in Dak's ear, during that rookie season, coaching him up and helping him out. He has plenty of real game experience and similar experience of the field. He had early success with big expectations and had to deal with a lot of scrutiny in a big media, high profile market. He would have been an excellent choice.

The Front office doesn't want to hurt Daks feeling when Cowboys fans start chanting for anyone who can remotely sling the ball a little bit better on a consistant basis. Right now no one really wants to see our current backups.
