Yea but the Lynch Mob know he’s not going anywhere so they need another sacrificial lamb.

Amazingly they had higher expectations for this team. You know . The overly optimistic homers who bash us more realistic fans then need someone’s head when it doesnt turn out like they hoped:)
The sacrificial lamb is because they know Jerry ain't stepping down, so something has to happen.
Everyone knows Jerry has to die to leave and it still won't get any better.

House Jones is a bane upon this fan base and team and will be for many more decades.

Sacrifices must be made to appease... well... let the sacrifices commence!

I think Jerry's friendship with his dad he's trying to show loyalty to Jason....at a high cost. I don't remember a time when Jerry has publically questioned Jason's dicisions until the ridiculous 4th and one decision lst night.......MAYBE Jerry is finally seeing the light.

I don't remember Jerry questioning a specific Garrett decision before either, but I think it may have happened before. Maybe with one of those "let's throw the ball at the goal line instead of running Zeke" episodes.

But I do think it's a big deal that Jerry chose to criticize Garrett here. I'd criticize Linehan even more, but Jerry chose to publicly criticize the decision that was Garrett's responsibility.

Yep, that IS where it starts......not many legit HC's want to go where he has no say in the coaching staff.....Jerry just hires the coaching staff and tells his HC's.....there ya go, I hand picked some coaches for you...now go win with what I picked out.......Jerry wants to build from the roof down and it won't succeed that way.
Right!! Of course they don’t. Why would you want responsibility if you don’t have final say on decisions?

Unless you can’t get a job elsewhere and why I’m still amazed Jason didn’t bolt when he had an opportunity. What has Jerry promised him to stay?

I’m not sure I’d put much into it. Jerry is just wanting to side with the public wave.

But Jerry did earlier call out Linehan and why he’s most likely the scapegoat and might not last the season.

If this continues spiraling downward Jerry will be forced to throw the Lynch Mob a sacrificial lamb.

Jerry's loyalty to Garrett has nothing to do with with Garrett's Dad. It's all about Jerry proving that he was correct to hire Garrett and develop him into an NFL Head Coach.
This. Garrett is Jerrystein's Monster, the coach that he made. Lacking titles post Jimmy teams, he wants the coach that he made to be his legacy to the Cowboys.

Im actually proud of the coaching staff for getting guys like Swaim, jarwin and gathers involved. they also used zeke a little in the passing game. They moved Austin around. Austin should have caught that ball, even though it was high. when youre a receiver and it hits both hands like it did. You have to come down with it. dak did throw it kind of hard. They should have went for the fourth and one and they should have kicked it from 64 yards instead of doing that hail mary.. the coaches had alot of good especially the defense. this loss was huge because that was a team we should have beat.
I agree with the first part of this. They actually got some productive plays out of that dumpster fire of a TE group. Gathers had a chunk play where all he had to do is jog downfield and turn around, which is the limit of his route-running ability. And Linehan got a useful snap out of Blake Jarwin, which I didn't think was possible, and should get him (Linehan) votes for NFL Assistant Coach of the Week, if there was such a thing. Seriously, what else could you do with those guys?

I offer you Linehans head. The offense is near the bottom of the league . Let’s start there. Garrett can assume OC.

Due to Jason's dad being in coaching football Jason has been in and around many of the best coaches in the NFL literally his entire life, he and Troy even spent a week at Jimmy's place in Key West when he was first named HC.

Garrett has held numerous coaching gigs in the NFL fron QB coach, OC, and 8 years as HC. With many of his in game decisions we've seen, it's like he just isn't grasping the game.

Well,I’m not ok with the staff, and wanted changes. I’m just pointing out at the end of the day,it’s Jerry’s show under the big top. And that’s what concerns me,even if he did fire Garrett, what gives people the impression we don’t wind up with “Campo and “Wade” type of HCs again? You can’t trust this club for nothing.

Not only that but Jerry wants a puppet.

One that doesn’t recieve more credit than him like Jimmy did. Jerry tried that but winning back to back wasn’t enough.

There’s not enough room in Dallas for another ego as big as Jerry’s.

The Lynch Mob doesn’t care. They’re tired of this puppet and want another.

Money. JG is being paid far more here than he'd have made elsewhere. Plus, here he'll last longer if he doesn't produce. His mediocre results and Esco drafting ways would've resulted in a pink slip long ago w/ any other org.

He's questioned Jason before. He stripped Jason of play calling and gave the job to Bill Callahan over Jason's objections. Any self respecting coach would have quit. But Jason makes 6 million a year and knows his coaching career ends in Dallas......... unless he's got family working somewhere else in football.

My opinion and its pretty obvious stuff is that Jerry has done everything in his power to protect Jason and not hold him accountable for any of the team's shortcomings.

Job security despite results so Jerry can continue pursuing his ambitions.

Which is why Jason is so calm regardless of results and criticism. He’s like Jerry’s press secretary. Makes sense.

It won't mean a thing to the mob when Jerry throws the wrong lamb out the door. It needs to be Garrett first.
We’ll see. But I will say this. I’m not sure anyone is safe with Dak. He could take everyone down.

If Jerry walks back his rams comment...then he just might make a change.
But if he sticks to it...then I'll believe he moves on from JG when I see it.
I have a bad feeling he really believes that comment...which means they ALL get another season.

I'd say if one thing Jerry is realizing it is maybe that he needs a QB. Firing Garrett might risk the high draft pick he needs to get the QB we need or make a trade to go up to get the QB we need. The interim HC might actually win us enough games to ruin that plan.

So, let Garrett finish the season, then fire everybody on the offensive side, make a nice retirement party for Rod, promote Kris as a OC, and GO FREAKING GET HARBOUGH

I don't think he was the OC in MIA. Seems like he was QB's coach, or receivers coach, or some such.
Right ! He was QB coach in Miami for 2 years.

His only coaching stint before Jerry named him “ the future of the Dallas Cowboys” in of course unprecedented dysfunctional fashion before undermining Wade when naming him HC later.

I saw the post you responded to but figured if they didn’t know wasn’t worth responding to. Thought he might be one of those with their own facts:)
