A subjective award to guy that only has shown it for 1 season. Why isn't RG3 a starter, why is Eddie Lacy not on the football team. There are plenty of guys that won ROTY awards and never lasted that long. You have to build on what got you that award because in all honesty that award is subjective, voted on by a bunch of writers, more popularity contest than an actually football achievement.
Winning the award guarantees nothing a lot of players won and had mediocre to unremarkable years especially recently.

Speaking only for myself
My thoughts were thanks for keeping the ship afloat, now step aside and let an actual NFL quarterback finish the job
And believe me I got pillaged for it
He didn't play subpar YESTERDAY. YESTERDAY. That's what you used as an example from what Nick Wright said about YESTERDAY's game.
I dount anyone is saying he is a franchise QB right now. Wonder what your thoughts were in 2016.
He absolutely did. There are about 25 QBs in this league that would have thrown for 400+ yesterday with stacking 10 in the box. TEN!
Wouldn't see those fronts though.Against those fronts, Romo would have put up 50 points and worn a hat in the 4th quarter.
Canty is right.
Yes, a few outliers.Then why 2016?
Maybe the surrounding talent changed significantly enough to make him look bad.
I have said this many time. Dak needs a clean pocket in front of him and a window for the ball to get to the receiver for him to play at a high level.
Therer have been QB's which this description who won Super Bowls.
Same can be said for those that think he can. This is an opinion site and an opinion subject. There are far too many weaknesses to suggest you know for a fact Dak can't win. But you will try to make that case. Carry on.
I'm used to both.Uh no but thanks for assuming.. Dak made plays yesterday under some not so good circumstances. So no I'm not used to poor QB play, I'm used to poor coaching.
Yeah, but he would have put it on backwards causing about half of the fanbase to cry and cry and cryAgainst those fronts, Romo would have put up 50 points and worn a hat in the 4th quarter.
Canty is right.
One of his fumbles directly cost us the game and he several times missed WRs for wide open walk in touchdowns. So yes, he did play subpar yesterday.
Washington had defensive plays where they actually had 10 guys in the box. They only did this because they were that sure Dak was not going to be able to throw on them. On the Gallup TD, the defender bit so badly on the double move because he never thought Dak would actually throw it deep. Nobody respects Dak.

...and the owner had essentially said he found his new franchise quarterback in late October 2016.The owner who just traded away his only opportunity to upgrade the QB position is saying that loud and clear
Kind of like fans are now in regard to Prescott. We'll never get a QB that doesn't get **** on for everything on offense.Yeah, but he would have put it on backwards causing about half of the fanbase to cry and cry and cry
Discussion was impossible due to the mass euphoria that swept over many people. What is both ironic and a little unsettling is how quickly that same mass euphoria subsequently evaporated.Speaking only for myself

Nick Wright must not have been watching the game. Dak didn't have a lot of time to throw the ball and when he did Dak did make plays. You also have to account for our bumbling coaching staff calling the plays. I thought Dak played well yesterday under the circumstances.
Odd we would have tied the game not for a bad ref call we drove down pretty easy the last two drives with our crappy QB, he had 273 and a TD no INTs had 22 yard run called back penalty, had a big pass called back penalty he would have had around 320 passing without penalty's.. that ridiculous notion that Washington strategy won the game..we were hitting passes had guys open that we missed a few and penalty called back a few..FACTS Dak threw one of his better jobs but that pone strip sack 6 did cost us the game he had Gallup breaking WO, yes it happens pressure got to him but to say they stopped us with 8-10 is NOT TRUE..we were hitting passes..we beat ourselves..we brought in cooper to further press that man coverage..let them do that with him, I get it hes having down year but I watched every snap of that game, they stopped Zeke caused some fumbles..they did not really stop Dak , his online and penaltys stopped dak..TH FG attempt penalty stopped the cowboys.. they won 20-17 Gruden is not genius he got lucky FACTSI'd be more impressed if they had 12 in the box.
