I say yes for a few reasons.

1) Early the week Bryan B. (I can’t spell his last name) hinted that olinemen from the beginning didn’t like Alexander and his techniques.

3) Columbo played at a pro bowl level for a few years in the NFL (the players respect him) I’ve listened to multiple interviews with Olinemen talking positively about him.

2) Columbo has been the assistant since 2015 but was working with Dallas without an official title since 2013 (I believe, could be wrong)

Just an early morning thought. It’s not like the Kellen Moore move because Columbo has Coaching experience, has already been around these players for years, and wouldn’t be a child coach.

Could just be an interm situation for the last 8 games

It's a conundrum.

Alexander appears to be having issues.

If the OL does not like him..

yes.

Sanjay can go, too.

Their positions and failing to correct the problems is causing us to fail in a lot of ways.

Now it's affecting Zeke.

If he gets hurt becuz of the additional pounding he is taking..

we completely screwed.

Wait I thought Lal was teaching these professional wide receivers how to run routes?

Not sure at this point.

There is a lot more at play here and going on with the OL than just coaching.
Give him the rest of this year. See how it plays out.

I am not just for switching out positional coaches to try to fix the real problem.
Fix the HC, as in a different HC, and also OC and DC, then see what happens.

I clicked "unsure" as I just don't know if Columbo is the answer but also Alexander is the proverbial sniffles of this cold that Dallas has, but he isn't the headache or fever....so, if you wipe the sniffles away, that make make you look better for the moment but doesn't necessarily make you better overall - you need to take care of the bigger symptoms or when you wake up tomorrow, you don't feel well again

Columbo is completely different than Moore.

1) he learned under successful OL coaches as an assistant

2) he actually was able to play in this league as a starter and not a backup that is now coaching the guy who beat him out.

I live in cincy, the bengals fired him...and we hired him ***

He did well in Cincinnati for 20 years. It is not like he is a horrible coach.
Their Ol had some injury issues, the let players go, had quite a few Ol in and out over the past few years.

I voted no. Let the new HC pick his own OL coach.
Could just be an interm situation. Just let Columbo know “hey this is just for 8 games, we may move in a different direction after the season.” Just be fair and honest about it.

No, ride the season out and replace your HC amd and whole offensive staff
that is why I think Linehan should have been fired now, and force JG to take full responsibility for the O the rest of the year to determine his fate.

And then they would already have the OC position open for whatever happens. But Carrot & Linehan should have been separated at the end of last year. Because we have been killed now for 2 years in a row because of their garbage. As long as Linehan is here, JG can muddy the waters and throw everyone else under the bus to try to save himself. Step up, Jerry, and be a man about it!! One of them needs to go... NOW. You need a clear picture of what you really have in your HC.

Pederson & McVay have total control of their Os and they are great at it. Make your HC do his job!
