The narrative [I hate that term] of JJones drove Jimmy out of Dallas isn't accurate.I and several others
have shown what happened but that's not satisfactory for those who hate JJones.

Landry had no love for Jerry Jones and Jerry could have handled the legend's firing better. Landry needed top go.

For what-ever cause of that parting, I'm still saddened by the feelings of the two as the Dallas organization parted. Both were not happy in the transitioning, Jerry or Tom.

Btw, it's pretty idiotic, almost brain dead in fact, to think because Jimmy didn't win a Super Bowl in his short time in Miami that must mean he wasn't responsible for the dynasty in Dallas. It's really hard to win a title in the NFL. The situation was different. He didn't have a team to fleece for picks this time. He had a declining Witten-like relic hero at QB that he mistakenly kept instead of turning the page to the next QB. The league was wise to him and his ways in the draft. They had his chart. They now knew the stockpiling philosophy and some teams outright refused to deal with him.

And despite all of that and only being there a short amount of time he rebuilt that defense and left them a playoff contender.

Now what did the lunatic in Dallas do in that time? He destroyed a dynasty to the tune of being the laughing stock of the league and having to call in Mr. Fix It Bill Parcells to clean up his mess.

How is this even a thing to discuss? There is no debate.

The owner in Miami would not let Johnson replace Marino. He wanted to. You can't ask a coach to come in and rebuild your team and then at the same time make those type of sentimental decisions. 17,16,23,12 those are the TD numbers Johnson got out of Marino those 4 years and still played in 5 playoff games and won 2.

then do you have a point other than trying to heap blame onto one person using the aforementioned logic?

Simple. The futility of this franchise over the last two decades is tied to the actions of Jerry the owner and Jerry the GM.

All the good he did in the early 90s winning SBs with Jimmy has largely been offset by a 22 year run that has seen only THREE playoff wins.

His body of work for over 2 decades as GM is pure garbage!

The solution to this is...wait for it!

Jerry the Owner, needs to fire Jerry the GM!

I asked if you had any point other than playing everything on him. So you have nothing.

Well, Jason Garrett was hired to be the HC first (media went berserk) before that Son of a Bum took the job as he was the only one to agree that Jason Garrett would be his OC. Norv told him Heck No!

Jerry Jones main focus is to keep the Dallas Cowboys relevant and he used that very word. The Cowboys use to say their only focus was championships.

The man used the term relevant, as he wasn't satisfied with the current product. That is being honest.

He used the term relevant because he is about money and not championship. The quote was from not drafting Johnny Football. Stating if he would have drafted Johnny Football the Cowboys would be "relevant" for the next 10 years. Drafting OL and DL gets you championships. Drafting the show that was Johnny Football gets you media, money, and makes you "relevant".

Naw, that is just a label that you find easy to soothe one's own disappointment. Since the lock out, the offensive and defensive lines have continually been a priority. Prove other wise...with facts and who were acquired.

I provided you with what was actually stated by Jerry as to why his response was as it had been given.

Accept that or not is now yours...“I'd say after seven games it's fair to say that we weren't getting the job done to the standard."

Jerry Jones provides reasoning for #DallasCowboys offensive line coaching situation.

With the addition of Amari Cooper, the #DallasCowboys have now added 26 players that were once drafted in the top

If one is building for now, one picks up Tate-Philadelphia

If one is building for the future, one picks up Cooper-Dallas

On a side note as to a competitor, Green Bay:

LOL.

Typical Fuzzy.

Well you are really doing nothing but blaming it on him. Little to no discussion of cause and instead you get this "since Jimmy" logic, a wink, and a nod.

It's defeatist. This notion that we just cannot win cause "Jerry Jones" just doesn't bear out.

Fuzzy, to this fan, the Cowboys will still be going as far as the offensive line carries them. That is a lot to do with the direction that they just now took.

His comment was as to why try to win every season. This team remained above 50% and have a shot at trying to do so this season? They comply with the comment by Parcells of trying to win...and they are at least a team that tries.

Obviously, we disagree. When a team tries to sell a 4th round, flawed QB as the next franchise guy, they aren't really trying. Jerry is just trying to sell box seats and club rooms on the cheap. We see every week what very good, young QB's can do to defenses in the NFL. Dallas is not one of those teams, even with Zeke. Jerry just tries to placate the media and the remaining fans by putting a bandaid on a widening gash.
