When I listened to his post game Q and A...I still think Garrett’s job is in question based on the type of language Jerry uses. So while not a in season change,(because they already are what they are at this point) I can see bigger staff changes after the season if this continues. I sure don’t see signs of them improving, and Jerry touched on them having enough time to prepare for this game and didn’t see this coming. That’s a direct shot over the bow at Garrett and staff. He was really disappointed. From Jerry’s POV,he’s going ..”Look,I gave you the big trade for Cooper,I fired the o-line coach...we had two weeks to rest and practice, and we’re still in the same place huh?” He's running out of reasons to keep people on board, and that’s how you get fired as a HC here. You have to eliminate the reasons he wants to keep you.

A sane Owner never would've kept Garrett around for 8 years. But with Jerry's personal attachment to Garrett and the fact JG was Jerry's HC in waiting the moment he was hired as OC in '07 before we even hired a HC, I think Jerry will find several more scapegoats to fire before he gets to Jason.

Maybe a 4-12 or 5-11 season will finally cause Jerry to make the move. But more likely he'll just move up from firing position coaches to firing Linehan and/or Marinelli before he gets to Garrett.

The only thing working in our favor is that Garrett only has one year left on his contract and Jerry doesn't like to enter a season with a HC in the final year of his contract. So one of two things will happen... he will be fired after the season or Jerry will actually give him an extension. God help us if it's the latter.

5) JG is done, just a matter of timing.
I'm not sure that it matters. Coaches in Dallas have no authority over their teams. The Joneses will hire a retread with old ideas and no imagination and we'll have nine more years of same ol'.

I don't know I think last night was the straw that broke the Garrett back. Short of a miraculous deep playoff run (not going to happen, we will not even make it in a weak NFC East) I think last nights game sealed Jason's fate.

You have 2 weeks to prepare, trade a first for Cooper (which I actually like), fire your OL coach and then you go out and lay a uninspired egg at home against a team that has it's own issues.

Jerry might be very fond of Jason, but I don't think even that will save Garrett.

Garrett is going to get a promotion when the season is over, somehow or someway

Jerry won't send him to the unemployment office, he will be in the F.O. in some capacity if he is indeed on the way out.
I didn't think it was possible but adding Garrett to the FO would only weaken it even more than it already is.

Jerry Jones rules out in-season coaching change

Eight years ago to the day, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he wouldn't be making an in-season coaching change. Three days later, he did. After Monday night's disappointing loss to the T...

No point in Captain Jerry firing his First Mate when they're already on a collision course with the iceberg.

Assess the damage after the season then hire the next scapegoat head coach.
