I think White has the physical skills necessary but the scouting report on him is that he takes a while to get through progressions so I would not pout him in this year. I would wait til next year and draft someone in the 2nd if the quality is available.

I hear people say that no QB could be successful in there. But on film guys are open and the QB has time to throw. I want a new coaching staff as bad as anyone but let’s not pretend that this offense wouldn’t be better with a good QB. They clearly would be.

Which has absolutely ZERO to do with what our discussion is about...how is "keep in mind, Eli Manning won a Super Bowl with the 27th best defense" your closing argument to a debate around whether or not the complaints that Romo's defenses sucking were legitimate? If you think Dak sucks, then you thought he sucked when he won 13-3 before he was smitten with Garrett coaching. People want to use Romo's failures on defense, but Eli won with a bad defense so you can't use that stupid lame excuse. The fact is, our coaching staff is below par on every level and until I see Prescott with a nice coaching staff, It's hard to judge him. Plus, you can argue until you're blue in the face, Jerry says he's keeping Prescott and extending him. so...

Your disdain for Garrett is legendary and I agree. We had Romo for 9 years, with 3 winning seasons and 3 8-8 seasons and a lot of incomplete seasons because he was hurt due to scheming issues. And we put a fresh Dak in there who was a star until they got to him, now he's mediocre. If Jerry gets to Prescott like he did to Romo, then Prescott will start changing all of the plays and may play better, but I'm just done with this coaching staff.

To me, if you're going to go to White, you may as well lose out next year for Tua or another QB.

Fans can be shortsighted if that is their choice. On the other hand, NFL front office personnel should be far more cautious of the roster decisions, especially those that are likely long-term instead of short-term. Not enough people were strongly considering long-term in 2016 though.
