they are all too young to understand the historical relevance of this once proud franchise...still embarrassing to see only Jones timidly defend his ground and more embarrassing to witness a team that couldn't even get fired up...then again hard for a team to get excited playing for a terrible coaching staff and being led by a backup QB at best

NFL is currently evaluating this for a possible fine.

No word whether or not Jerry could face a fine for his disrespect of the Star over the past 2 decades.

I think you have to say..

any player fighting is going to get ejected or the team heavily penalized.

So they are told not to be the one instigating the infraction.

While we want the players to act a certain way..

they are being told something else by the coaches.

I am not worked up about anti- Cowboy displays.

That's just part of the territory.

Now if you are disrespecting the American Flag...

If they are disrespecting the Star..

They are allowed to voice an opinion..

but I do not think it amounts to much.

Only becuz we are losing does it get attention.

The older fans care more about the franchise but the population of the fanbase who are player-first fans is increasing. A lot of "Cowboys" fans are jumping ship for the Saints because they care more about Dez than the Cowboys.

not that i agree with it AT ALL, but isn't that the exact justification people use to burn and desecrate the american flag....they claim to be expressing an opinion protected by the first amendment.

People tend to forget that Teague went after TO the SECOND time he did it. Nobody did a damn thing the first time. Sure, Emmitt spiked the ball on the star and stared down the 49ers after he scored, but that only egged T.O. on. I think everybody in the stadium figured if he scored again he would do it again.

Heck, I am that coach. I AM RUNNING out there and knocking the punk on his butt. My team better follow.. I know, not something a HC would do. Probably why I am not a HC... I would also have so much money wrapped up in fines when talking about the refs in the PC...

I wouldnt care either if I had to play for these idiots of a staff.

I mean if i was a player on the team and a player disrespected the star I am more than likely thinking about the next Ferrari I am going to buy later instead of running out the to tackle the guy!

Give me coaches that give a damn and I will be gladly to tackles anyone including Santa claus himself on that damn star.

Until then..........I am thinking of either the red or yellow Ferrari.......hmmmmmmm.

Yup, I started a thread about this very topic. This team has no heart. None what so ever. Off the top of my head, I could name at least 12players from the 90's SB teams that would have lead the charge to knock those titan players off the star, lead by the Playmaker.
