Are we too weak for this coming playoff field...doy.
Anyone seriously think we can stay on the same field with NO, KC, or LA?
No way! Those teams are way too awesome! No one can keep up with them.

They NFL should cancel the rest of the regular season and just start the playoffs with those 3 teams.

Agree but our path to a Superbowl is avoiding running QB's I think.

We've been really good against pure pocket guys but a QB that can run has been our downfall this season.

I would welcome playing the Rams if we could get that game.

Are they better then Dallas? Of course.

But they have a statue QB and Dallas fans would more then likely take over that stadium and turn that into a neutral field.
Yes that stadium will be taken over! Theres a whole southern California fan club with chapters spread out all thru out. The whose house chant is a cowboys fan club thing that the rams copied when their stadium was taken over by us!.

Here's the thing:

Since the start of 2017, if the Cowboys have one or no giveaways, they are 13-1. If they have two giveaways or more, they are 1-11.

For people who are playing/coaching for their jobs, there's no incentive to take even the slightest risk to try for more points.

The Patriots have been in the weakest division for 20 years and it affords them a great record and home field advantage every season.
Spot on.

And they’re practically unbeatable in Foxboro during the playoffs.

Is Cowhack too weak to be prematurely ccommenting on the state of the Cowboys?
Remember how many people were talkiing about what a great analyst he was towards the beginning of the season becuase he said we were the most underrated team? The guy is a tool, I don’t care iif what he says is positive or negative about us.

He's been pretty fair to us over the years i'd say.

Maybe the headline isn't fair but if you watch the video I don't think he says anything outlandish.

The New York Giants entered the 2012 playoffs with a 9-7 record. Good enough to win the division. They beat a much more talented Falcons team in the wild card 24-2.

In the divisional game they played the best offense in the league, the Packers, who averaged 35 points a game that season ( exact same as Rams this year ). They held them to 20 and beat them by 2 TDS.

In the NFC Championship game, the Giants beat the 49ers whom had by far the best defense in the league. Ironically, the 49ers had beat the 2nd best offense in the league the week prior the Saints, who averaged 34 points per game. The 2 best offenses by far in 2012 got taken down by the 2 best defenses in the NFC in the same season.

Guess who the Giants beat in the Super Bowl....that's right the 3RD BEST OFFENSE IN THE NFL, New England Patriots. Held em to 17 points.

Defenses win Championships. That's why I really want to make the playoffs this season. If this offense gets hot and our defense continues to get better. Watch out NFL.

Barring no major injuries, the Boyz will make it to the playoffs, and I can’t underestimate Dak in big games.
Must be on that same stuff Jerry on. Can't underestimate Dak in big games like this dude some top level qb. Delusion at its finest

If they make the playoffs then yes they are a playoff team.

An illegitimate one, but sure, if being technical about it makes you feel better..then by all means, a "playoff" team.

Win 2 games in a row and people think we are legitimate contenders all of a sudden. Welcome to the zone.

Since that SB, we have seen:
34-31 - Ravens
43-8 - Seahawks
28-24- Pats
24-10 - Broncos
34-28 - Pats
41-33 - Eagles

2 SB's with a defense. It's an offensive league now. If you can't score 28, I don't think you have a chance.

This is always the case with teams that have better defenses than offenses - they aren't the Cinderella story going into the playoffs. The facts are we've played this Rams team (last year) and they got lucky ** and beat us 33-31 or something like that. We always play Drew Brees and the Saints tough & we'll see them in about 10 days (I'm not looking forward to it but they won't beat us by 41 points like the Eagles).

If the refs stay out of it, we can hang with any team in the league IF we play our game and stick to what has won us games since Dak and Zeke took over in 2016.

By the way it's not just the Cowboys that would be the "weakest team in the playoffs" - it's any NFC east team that would be the 'weakest link'. Who cares, get us to the dance and then we can gameplan and play our game.

yes.

We have a punchers chance against any of them. If our offense gets a little better, we can beat them. Our philosophy of Defense and running game is tried and true.

Absolutely. I actually would really like our chances against both KC and LA. We match up well with those two teams. I think our defense would slow both of those teams down, not stop, but slow em down and they both struggle against the run. KC gives up 5 yards a carry and LA gives up 5.2. We would control the clock. Getting Irving back would be huge. An elite inside pass rusher to match DLAW and Gregory coming off the edge. We could pressure them with 4, or maybe even 3 and drop 7 or 8 in coverage.

New Orleans...they would be tough. Best QB and a solid defense. Would take the perfect game, but it could be done.

Absolutely. I hate these milk toast fans that surrender the season ten weeks in, when are right in the middle of a playoff hunt.

The fact is we have a young and fast defense with a couple of absolute physical freaks and we run the ball as well as anybody. Yea, our QB isnt going to put up 350 and 4 TDs, but in the playoffs we can use his legs more and I really like our chances with him at the end of a tight game. Hell ya, we would stand a chance.

yes we can stay on the same field as them.
They have to play 60 minutes of game time. :muttley:

I think our D can hold their own against their O for the most part.
And our O can do ok against NO & KC defense, they are not that good. But their O vs our D is much better than our O vs. their D
We would lose, but I can't see a blowout of more than 17 points. (man I can't say that with a straight face)

But no way can we contain LA on O & D, that for sure looks to be 24 point loss.

Any team can get hot at the right time and go on a run. Look at the Giants last two SB wins. If you look at it objectively though, you can see that our odds of beating a team like the Rams or Saints in the playoffs is stacked heavily against us.
