Actually I'm not surprised for a different reason. Since those offenses are so explosive on their own and have the ability to score quickly, opposing offenses get more possessions of their own. The more possessions you have the greater the chance you'll come up with an explosive play of your own. Dallas is a ground and pound, chew up the clock offense so opposing offenses probably have fewer possessions than opponents of the Rams and Chiefs. Maybe an explosive play rate might be a good stat to look at to see where teams fall on either end.
I tend to agree with this, but the Chiefs defense is just plain bad and LA's isn't much better outside of one player.

Remember the old cliche people.....defense wins championships
Yup, that's an old cliche all right. I'm not sure it was ever true, but it certainly isn't now.

Defense can win championships, but so can offense: just look at the last two Super Bowls.

This is certainly true. It's also true that when you're blowing out your opponents and playing soft defense for a quarter or more, you'll tend to give up a lot of these kinds of plays.

Wow......solid stat on just good this D is. Please take note of couple high power offenses hanging around the BOTTOM of the list.

Fewest rushes=15+ yards and receptions 20+ yards
Otherwords, we don't give up cheap yards

If you strip out the big screen pass in the first WAS game with the block-in-the-back and the Saints OPI from this past week we'd be tied for 1st place :flagwave: #TortureTheData

The D and run game are carrying us.
Now the passing game is improving to almost average
That combination has had some playoff success before, so here's to hoping.

It’s surprising that the Rams are at the bottom of that list. They have an offense that can overcome those big plays given up. Go Cowboys
