Let me see if I have this right. A touchdown elicits grown men acting out keep away, or bowling, or a group photo, or some other inane act just because they scored. League is okay.

Two players call attention to an organization which helps the less fortunate, doesn't keep the majority of donations to pay a CEO or a top heavy administration. League fines players.

Yeah, that makes sense.

I thought it was because the money could be considered as a prop which is against the rules. It’s no different then pulling out a phone or something like that. The post celebration rules may suck but they loosened them up a lot and they’re not that hard to follow. Trying to be a smart butt about it didn’t help his cause.

Everything I've read regarding Zeke's "donation" stated that he got the money from the team's photographer...he didn't have it stuffed in his sock. I don't guess that mattered to the league. Also, everything I've read stated that he was fined for his dropping money into the bucket (rather than depositing Dak into the bucket, which is what some here have stated that he was fined for). I don't know specifically what he was fined for, I can only go off of reports from the media.

Ezekiel Elliott: A lot of things the NFL does "define ridiculous"

Ezekiel Elliott didn't expect a fine from the NFL for dropping $21 and Dak Prescott into the Salvation Army kettle in separate touchdown celebrations against Washington two weeks ago. He didn...

Unbelievable.

What they should do is produce a commercial for the Holidays sponsored by the NFL of Zeke jumping in the kettle and then paying the $21.

Be like Zeke and give generously.

Instead..

Zeke is contributing $21,000 and the team is matching it for $42,000.

But instead..

the NFL is just dying to humiliate Zeke and the Team.

Instead of contributions..

the NFL ownership hands out punishment for charity.

I hope every score we make against the Iggles has all our players swamping that kettle with more contributions.

Fine the entire team.

What a show that would be.

The NFL will look completely stupid on National TV.

Why?

He's 100% right.

These rules have been in place for years - just score a TD and head to the freakin’ sideline. Divas caused these rule changes, even if I don’t like it.

Irvin kicked it off, then Owens and Moss pushed it further.

Zeke is already on a short leash with the NFL. Just shut up and do the job your employers tell you to do. Don’t like it? Make some noise during the next CBA.

They relaxed those rules on celebrations last season though?

Anyway, Zeke ain't going to change his ways at this point. He has matured a little but the lights are too bright for him to show zero emotion.

He's on a short leash for what?

Doing nothing and getting railroaded for it unjustly?

He's doing the job his employers tell him to do..and doing it quite well i might add. Also raising awareness for a good cause and I would bet money he's increasing donations to the salvation army in the process.

If anyone should shut up I'd say it's you. They want to make their employees do interviews and answer silly questions all the time..that's just what he did.

Whether it was “unjust” or not, the NFL felt it was justified. Thus...he is on a short leash.

Again, the NFL employs Zeke, they have told him not to do it...he continues. Just stop.

Don’t like it? Find another job.

1. I don't recall them ever telling him to stop messing with the kettle.

2. Looks like he's going to keep doing it and not worry about the fines..because it is ridiculous. So..

I guess you can either keep complaining about it or take your own advice and just stop and be quiet.

Am I crazy to think that these comments by Elliott could end up getting him a suspension? NFL offices can be pretty petty and vindictive.

Yes you are. There is nothing he said or did that violated any personal conduct policy.

Like with what can be on shoes, they still tell you what you can and can’t do and they have told Zeke not to do what he did again...

Just stop. It’s not that hard. There isn’t even a real need to do what he did - it’s a TD, not a super bowl win. He’s immature and at a position that isn’t valuable enough to be a diva.

You get that they won’t just continue to fine him, right? That’s not how this works. Eventually it becomes harsher treatment.

And I will “keep complaining” because there is no one holding me back from doing so, and it’s something that comes with being a fan.

Zeke is an immature dummy. Can’t wait until he is off the team.

I absolutely agree it's your right to keep complaining about petty stuff as long as you want to waste your time and emotion.

In the meantime..Zeke is young..has made some mistakes..but nothing serious yet that I've heard. If you want to buy into the media and nfl trying to skewer him for no reason..again..be my guest.

In the meantime Zeke will continue to be a Dallas Cowboy for a long time and will continue playing at an All Pro level.

I suggest enjoying it. We haven't had a RB this talented in a long time. It's a good thing. :)

I really don’t give two craps about RBs in a passing league. It’s not the 90s, RBs don’t have the value to be divas. So Zeke needs to be a good little boy, stop being stupid on and off the field, and just do what he is told until he is all used up here.

Pretty sure most people with any sense in their head realize Zeke is the most valuable player on this entire offense.

I really don't give two craps about your silly opinions either, though. Zeke doesn't have to do anything you said there. But keep whining about him if it gets you your jollies. It makes no difference to anyone but yourself. Lol

Good day, sir. :)
