Couldn't disagree more with Nick and his ridiculous scenario. Do you seriously think we would be better off losing a football game? Even if we lose Sunday we have a very, very good chance at winning the division. Also, who is to say Dak isn't going to improve over the next 3 games after Philly? I'm not making a case for the next contract just making a case that the media makes a living on speculation.

Because as one of the greatest coaches in NFL history says - "After three years you know about a player."

Bill Parcells.

I hate that I hate Dak because I love the kid but I refuse to let his persona cloud the eye test.

He is NOT going to improve because he is who he is. It's not a throwing problem or a learning the playbook problem it's an instinct and accuracy problem and if he doesn't have it by now he is not going to have it. You must stop hoping - it is not a strategy.

Who on this board wants to go another five years on a Dak extension that hamstrings the organization signing other players while misplacing the resources to a QB who cannot get us where we want to go.

Dak is the NFL's Man Of the Year.

We need the NFL's Player Of The Year.

Total clutch. So clutch he needed some calls to go his way and fluke pass. I am glad we won but Dak is trash. He's not a playoff QB not with those missed passes and turnovers.
Calls like that BS roughing on Gregory? Or maybe the no call facemask? Or the 4 holding calls on Smith?...or maybe the fact he has 3 backups playing oline and 1 so hurt he can barely move....but Yep Dak is better than Wentz

Dude, we beat a trash defense. You put Rodgers on this team and the game is over by half.

We are not getting a top qb for xmas this is the guy driving the bus and he is not a pocket passer so games like this one are few. He is not built to win games like we played today. Cowboys won in spite of him and our offensive scheme. The guy is a menace when we run him I guess we are saving his full potential for the playoffs. Gawd help the defenses when he does.

Odd game, and one again Prescott will face a ton of criticism for. We've been calling for him all season to take more chances. He certainly did that today with some good and bad. Thats usually what happens when you take more shots deep. The bad... He missed two big throws to Gallup that likely would have been TDs. Those are low percentage plays to begin with, but ones that are none the less frustrating. He also had two bad INT throws. The good, he also made some big time throws and ended up with 455 passing yards a career best, while also hitting 77 percent of his throws. The last throw to Cooper was lucky no doubt, but sometimes you need a bit of luck in the NFL.

The first mistake was quoting Nick Wright. Any time you find yourself agreeing with that moron, you should re-access your opinions. Dak is not good enough right now. But in a couple years i think he will be. I've seen enough to not give up.

Dallas won that game on a ball that mever should have never been thrown to Cooper in the first place.

I'll take it, of course, but in reality BOTH QB's stunk it up tonight.

So now Dallas is out both Freadbeard and Martin.........sigh.

wouldn't any qb with a massive contract hamstring the team cap wise? You'd loose players to Fa just like most other teams have. How does anyone know there is a massive contract coming for Dak? It's a little early for all the gnashing of the teeth I think. It needs to play out, see what happens.

Cooper has shown he's not only worth the one we paid for him, but a lot more. Why not trade him for a high first in 2019, & a second in 2020. Use those picks, plus a little more, & trade up for Haskins from Ohio State? He's a much more accurate thrower of the football. Then, take a WR in the 2nd like Lil'Jordan Humphrey. Bam! We have a much better QB, & a big, fast receiver. We won't have to pay Haskins big money for five years, so we can pay our defenders, & rebuild an O-line that's crumbling quickly.

Interesting idea, it would have us stepping back a bit in 2019. If you do not believe in Dak this has to be considered. IMO Jerry will not do this, maybe Stephen has the stones if he truly does not see Dak as the savior. I believe that Dak can become more accurate with some coaching off season, he is not going to be Drew Brees but he can do better. If we can get Dak to average NFL accuracy along with his ability to run we will have a franchise talent picked at the fourth rd.

Haskins is already more accurate than Prescott. If you look at college stats from this season, he was the most accurate QB in football, & broke most single season Big Ten records. I would rather teach a naturally accurate passer how to read defenses, & manipulate the pocket, etc.. Accuracy is the number one talent you need to play QB, & Haskins blows Dak out of the water.

Dak’s been mostly outstanding since we traded for Cooper.

Sorry, pretend I’m not here. Go back to being miserable.

I'm not worried about the contract. I'm more concerned about the guaranteed money, just as Dak and his agent are. A 5 year contract is basically 3 years anyway. There are creative ways to make a big contract affordable. Brady is a great QB who is paid very very well. They don't afford other players by being stupid with his contract...

some QBs can lift the team around them. some need the team to lift them. there is a difference....will this ever be an elite offense if we paid him 30 mill a year? vs. some of the elite QBs, that run an elite offense. despite yesterday, this is not an elite offense.
