Hide behind numbers all you want. That's okay
I’m not necessarily saying it’s you. Many on here said it didn’t matter that he was winning because his numbers weren’t good. Can’t pass for over 200 etc.

Now he has good numbers and wins and it’s “don’t hide behind the numbers”??

Explain please. Because it seems that some, again maybe not you, won’t be happy no matter what and maybe there’s another reason that defies logic and that’s the reason why he can’t be given credit.

Suck it haters.. .

You know what I find funny about comments like this? For the first three quarters when he was stinking it up not a single Dak homer could be found in the game thread. They didn't come out of the woodwork until late in the 4th when he finally started doing what a quarterback should do the whole game.

Exactly. Dak had played better games than he did yesterday when he threw for less than 200 yards. He didnt get any credit then because of that fact, now he exceeds that by almost 2.5x and he still doesnt get any of the credit? Ridiculous.

"Cooper and Zeke won the game" WHO THE HELL GOT THE BALL TO COOPER AND ZEKE!?!?!?

Untrue, go check the game threads. I don't expect him to be perfect, though.

I was in the game thread. I don't expect him to be perfect either, and he did a fantastic job in the 4th quarter. But they were only in that position because he did such a terrible job in the first three.

But hey, I like wins as much as the next guy.

LOL gotta love the moving goal posts.

Hater-He's not a "real QB" he can't even throw for 250 yards.
Supporter-He's averaged 250+ since had Cooper.
Hater-But we don't score enough
Supporter-He's scored enough to win 30 games and go 30-16.
Hater-But he doesn't EVER throw for 300 yards.
Supporter-But he's efficient and takes care of the ball.
Hater-Don't care; real QBs throw for lotsa yards
Supporter-Ok boom there's over 400 yards.
Hater-He threw like 12 yards and Cooper ran 388 and turned it over too much, real QBs don't miss open guys or turn it over.
Supporter-Are you medically sound?
Hater-No! All these wins are causing my bile to act up and it;s given me ulcerous colitis; I can't stay out of the restroom.
Supporter-It's OK man you can always go back and rewatch Carson Wentz from early last year and feel better.
Hatter-Best idea ever.
Supporter-Did we just become best friends??

As a DB you are supposed to drive through the WR on that slant with right arm behind the player and left arm knocking down the ball.
Trying to undercut it leaves you open to exactly what happened.
Cooper basically played a CB technique and sealed the guy inside.
Dak hardly deserves credit for some masterful throw there but Douglas gambled and lost; and Dak got them to that point with another drive down the field.

Dak ended the game with a QB rating over 100 again and DAL dominated the game on 3rd down creating an insane 32 1st downs and piling up yardage every series but the 1st one.
As Troy is fond of saying NFL QBs earn their salary on 3rd down. 1st and 2nd is on coaching but 3rd down is the QB down.
Picking up 3rd downs and putting points on the board when it matters late is where QBs separate themselves.
Right now for a young QB with plenty of technique flaws(back foot throws and lack of ball security--common young qb mistakes btw) you've got the major intangibles in place.

Dak needs a top notch personal position coach when the season is over.
If Linehan doesn't want that they need to fire Linehan for that reason alone.
Brady and others use those guys to this day at 40+.
Technique is largely muscle memory and repetition.
End of the day, 5 wins in a row including knocking off the 1st place NFCE team at the itme then beating the defending SB champs twice and the hottest team in football... anyone who can't appreciate that is just a sad, sad individual.
This is about as good and meaningful a run as DAL has had in 23 years.
I am happy with the win. Just saying, easily could have been a devastating loss if he picks that pass. The football gods were with Dak yesterday.

He had plenty of issues yesterday and through 3Q he was flat awful.
It was on pace to be one of his worst ever games.
But make no mistake Douglas gambled there because the Eagles were doing zero to slow Dak or the offense in Q4 or OT.
Dak was getting 20 a pop at that point from Jarwin.
Douglas gambled and lost.
That play wasn't that close to being picked though it very well could have been an in-completion if Cooper wasn't insanely good.
Any decent WR would attack the ball/CB there and save an INT.
But save the INT, maintain control and take the ball into the end zone? Grown man play.

How much of his 455 was in the 4th? I assume not all.
I don’t think he was “stinking...”. Qb’s make mistakes. He made some and made up for them by being clutch and winning.

But yeah 85% completions and 12 YPA does make the other 3 seem like stinking it up. He’s clutch.

I guess you’d call me a Dak homer because I think he’s pretty damn good and clearly and by far our best and most realistic option.

I was in the game thread the entire game. How exactly should us homers “represent” our homerism so next time we won’t be missed?

The problem with Dak Prescott is he is a Jekyll and Hyde QB.
The Dak jock sniffers and Dak haters can make an argument.
This week the jock sniffers can boast.
These 5 weeks?

The most important stat is the score. He’s been doing that well.

And another general point. This is a Dallas forum and therefore we have very Dallas favored points of view. If you guys want to immerse yourselves in more Wentz sympathetic viewpoints, then there's always, oh I don't know, the Eagles forum.

You’re dumb as a donkey if you think having a biased view on anything is acceptable. It’s only marginally understandable because we’re talking sports, but it just makes you an unobjective twit of a fan.

The thing is people normally don't switch up from sports to other aspects of life and vice versa. If they are being biased about this relatively meaningless sports stuff you know they are like this in more serious things also.

100%

That’s why this is sport for me. It’s like “to what end (of intellectual dishonesty) will this person go to try to save face.”

What? I have given Dak plenty of blame Einstein. Dak is completing 68% on the year, yes he misses throws. ALL QB's do, deal with it. Oh ya, Goff what has he done that Dak hasn't?
only has 10 more touchdowns and about 1000 more yards than him. Nothing really right?

85% completions and 12 YPA in the 4th quarter last night.

Does anyone know if that’s accurate? I heard it somewhere.

Yeah no kidding, he only had 200 yards passing to guys not named Cooper. That's not a good thing considering :
1). Dak also had 0 touchdowns and 2 int without Cooper.
2). That was against the E-girls 3rd string cornerbacks.
3). Dak hit Douglas right in the hands with a game losing interception.
Luckily Cooper bailed him out yet again.
You Daktards have zero friggin common sense and just bend stats to fit your own agenda.
Props to the people who actually watch the game and have a brain.
Riiiiiiiiight.

That’s totally not what you just did at all.

Great post
