AND not having him on 3rd downs makes it pretty obvious what we are going to do. He missed more than a few 3rd downs in all quarters. Don't remember #22 calling out so much.

Emmitt used to sit an entire series at time, as where Zeke it is a play or 2.

Fans need to get over this calling out of a play. It really is not that often.

And he touched the ball 40 times...40 TIMES yesterday. 28 rushes, 12 catches.
And they want to whine about sitting a few plays.

So that makes his 1st 3 quarters 25/34, 212 yds, 0 TDS, 2 INTs, 1 fumble lost. I’d like to see those other numbers out of the gate rather than poor play to put us at risk of losing a game that should have been over in the 3rd quarter. You will lose playoff games letting teams hang around despite dominating them.

All QBs have bad games from time to time. They don’t all turn the around with the game on the line like Dak did. On top of what should have been a game winning drive at the end of regulation ruined by the low snap at the edge of fg range and the beautiful game winning drive in overtime.

Dallas ran 99 offensive plays, the 3rd most in NFL history

Daks 4th quarter + O/T
comp/att 17/20
Yards 243
Td/Int 3/0
&

Dallas had a receiver with over 200 yard, a q/b with over 400 yards and a r/b with over 100 in a single game.
A first in Cowboy history.
crazy ending for sure, Dak made up for the three TOs...but he needs to clean that up..should have put the Beagles away in the first half, again too many points and chunk plays missed in the fist half.. sure hope we arent peaking too early..all these bounces and luck going our way, did we use up our Karmam LOL

Meaning 3rd downs are a tad more important than other downs. Not concerned with him tapping out at all just at crucial downs.

If you don't count the 4th quarter and overtime Prescott only threw for 212 yards.

Form a line and bring it.

That's the thing, if Dak was a Brees or Rodgers or Rivers or Eli, a grizzled vet that's "seen it all", he can deal fine with a less than stellar line.

But Dak still has to read defenses longer than the above guys, a good line is essential. He's been sacked near 50 times, you keep that up and he's going to either get hurt or get guy shy, and either will ruin his career, and the Cowboys near future chances for success...

That’s eagles defense is going to be worn and ragged against the Rams next week and on the road at that
I can't wait! The announcers will go into their usual ramble about Goff/Wentz going 1 & 2 in the 2016 draft, compare them, talk them up, etc..

Then, about half-way through the game, they'll have to carefully walk-back their praise of Wentz as he reverts back to his usual self under pressure and does his best Oprah impression..

Towards the end of the game, Dak did what he should have been doing all season. He threw it deep with some arc to give Amari the opportunity to adjust his route and run under the ball. Earlier in the year, Dak would quickly come off of that look and settle for the check downs or the come backs. I'm not sure what got into him late in that game, but I am glad it did. Dallas runs routes that have different time reads: come back, quick out, quick slant, check down 2 seconds, slugo, go route, deep post 3.5 seconds. Having a mixture of the timing routes is discombobulating to Dak. A better method would be for the OC to put the quick routes to the right and the deeper routes to the left or visa versa, this would make the reads a bit easier for Dak. Dak misses Gallop a lot because the lack of timing between the two. Amari is more polished and has 4 different gears (speed) at his disposal. A smart OC would have Dak throw quick slants and outs early to Gallop to develop the timing between the two, ditto for whomever is playing TE for the day. Another thing we need to do going forward is to flip our script. We seem to live in the world of 2nd and 8 or 9 yards to go. Throw on 1st down and run on 2nd downs. This would increase our offensive efficiency quite a bit if we make high percentage passes. Zeke up the middle on first down is not as successful as the past. Teams load up for him. The unnecessary hits and 1 or 2 yard gains are punishment for nothing. Zeke needs touches but they need to be QUALITY touches. Zeke running up the middle on 1st and 2nd down will put him on the sidelines for 3rd down. Rod Smith looked a lot better this game but he is a huge drop off in talent when he comes in the game.

I would like to add..throw on 1st down and run on 2nd. Zeke is starting to show some wear and tear late in the season. We are going to need him down the streatch. All defenses expect Zeke on 1st down. Mix it up. Drink and drink on 1st down.
Has zeke had a long TD run all year? He seems a tad slower. Still a beast though.
